The Gelson's in La Jolla you are talking about is really Pacific Beach. That one was originally a 60s model Alpha Beta. I believe this store had the PF&H v1 interior before Haggen bought it. I'm not sure what interior the Pacific Beach Albertsons had before then, maybe @rwsandiego knows. ...
The PB Albertsons-turned-Haggen-turned-Gelson's had the 1990's Lucky decor before it was remodeled. I don't recall whether it received PF&H 1 or 2. The similarly-sized Mission Hills store retained the Lucky interior until roughly a year before the divestiture when it received PF&H v2.

I don't know of any Albertsons within San Diego proper that were redecorated out of the Lucky decor prior to the SVU acquisition. There must have been some, but I can't think of any. Albertsons replaced a few of them with larger stores.

Pacific Beach had PF&H 1 and was an early, thoroughly done remodel.
The store looks infinitely better as Gelson's however.

No Larry interiors in San Diego proper? I can't think of any either. I guess we can give Supervalu some credit for doing remodels.

I don’t think anything in San Diego proper got the Larry interior. The Albertsons up in Carlsbad Village (née Big Bear Market) had it though.
@rwsandiego Tierrasanta Albertsons (former Alpha Beta) had the Awnings interior.
