Trouble at Burgerim?

One story here about a local franchisee who bailed, but apparently there are widespread problems. They've had their license to sell franchises revoked in a number of states, and Sen. Feinstein even asked the FTC to investigate them.

The Bloomberg article is about the Woodland Hills Amazon supermarket, which is going into a former Toys'R'Us location. (About which we have another thread.) Is there some report about Amazon going into this former Ralphs?

Looks to me like a typical Longs Drugs. So I'm assuming that was its previous identity, and was part of the CVS acquisition of that chain.

I believe most, if not all, "standalone" Starbucks are company-owned. The ones inside other locations (airports, supermarkets, Target, etc.) are "licensed" operations, but not franchises.

This is a listing of the designated "neighborhood stores" now. These are supposedly lower volume operations getting staffing and product cuts. Interesting the "southwest" region has SoCal and then has FL. And "northwest" has WA and has IL. Why have regions at all? https://www.thelayoff.com/t/13uNHK...

Subways are franchised and Starbucks are company-owned, so wouldn't the Subway policy vary from store to store depending on the ownership?

The Vons in Arcadia (which was a Pavilions until a few years ago) has a drive-through pharmacy.
