Re: YUM Brands to acquire Habit Burger

All,

Good discussion, but this isn't the place for discussing the business climate in the state of California (definitely not this thread, anyways).

Re: Proposed In-N-Out @ Harbor/Chapman (Garden Grove, CA)

Good question. This is around the corner from my home and the proximity to the Disneysphere™ would make the location insanely profitable to In-N-Out. Added that it's in Garden Grove vs Anaheim, they should likely get some incentives from the city to put up shop there. However, I think the location t...

Please remember this topic is about Amazon's new grocery initiative. Discussions about Gelson's should be in their own topic. Thanks!

Re: Smart & Final Extra

That was my local. Went into part of a former Kmart. There's a Walmart Neighborhood Market in the same center which provided competition. Sad, I much preferred S&FE over Walmart (though the Ralphs down the street i my normal go-to store)

Re: Raleys to close pharmacies

All, This topic is about the Raley's chain closing their pharmacies. I've had to remove a few posts not relevant to the topic, and many more are borderline. Feel free to start a new topic about the impact of healthcare organizations and their impact on retail pharmacies; but discussion on helathcare...

Re: Do Stores Have Emergency Generators?

Good question. When I worked at Target in 99-00, most (if not all) stores had generators that could power minimal lighting and the registers. The theory is this allowed the store to open up during an emergency on a limited basis to allow people to purchase supplies. Generally the protocol was to hav...

Re: Stores that are considered "too noisy"

- Almost any "trendy" clothing store.
- Apple stores tend to be very noisy, but then again they tend to have a ton of people packed into them at almost any given time (plus their use almost entire lack of acoustic deadening material in the store)

Please make sure to keep this on topic. The last paragraph did not contribute to the board discussion and had to be deleted.

Re: "Disney stores" to open in some Target locations

Weird-looking store, what is that, an old FedMart? If was a pretty standard looking FedMart. There's a photo of it on this page: http://pleasantfamilyshopping.blogspot.com/2009/12/sol-price-founder-of-fedmart.html Noted at the bottom, that Fedmart pictured is exactly the same target store today Sen...
