Re: Toys R Us Opening New Stores

Is there an article on this yet? And are these stores seasonal only, or permanent?

Fry’s Electronics on Life Support

https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6541627932278956032 I mean, they’ve been on a decline for years, but Fry’s is (was) truly an amazing store for DIY computer builders, audiophiles, and just about everyone. I remember first going to Fry’s in Fountain Valley in the early 90s and beg...

Re: Ralphs Apparently Dropping Van de Kamp's Bakery Brand Name

I'm pretty sure that most, if not all Ralphs offer online ordering: https://delivery.ralphs.com/ Sort of. I used online ordering from "my store" in Garden Grove, but the delivery came from the Fresh Fare in Brea. The meal prep kits are also only at the Fresh Fare stores, so it seems like Fresh Fare...

Re: Ralphs Apparently Dropping Van de Kamp's Bakery Brand Name

What about water? Ralph's has a hodgepodge of Ralph's and Kroger-branded water, even in the same category (e.g. 24-packs have mixed labels). Kinda ironic, since it's likely they come from the same Niagara Water plant in AZ. I don't think that's uncommon, I've noticed Ralphs of course carries Ralphs...

Re: Kroger Cosing Dearborn, MI Store... Across The Street From Another Kroger

Maybe before they did the major expansion/remodel on the store across the street, they weren't sure which store they wanted to invest significant money into... so they just kept both. If they were still in the Superstore at the time, I'd be inclined to agree, but the Kroger had just been built bran...

Re: Kroger Cosing Dearborn, MI Store... Across The Street From Another Kroger

That Farmer Jack purchase was always a head-scratcher for me. Kroger selectively chose which FJ stores to purchase, so it's not like they were stuck with it. It's obvious it's closing because the lease is finally up, but not obvious at all why they took over the lease to begin with, unless it was to...

"The new logo now makes Lord + Taylor (with a plus sign instead of an ampersand) look more like Sears or JCPenney."
To be fair, the logo has never been an ampersand. It's always been a stylized plus.
