Jack in the Box in Fresno is reducing dining room hours beginning May 20th. They will be drive-thru only after 9pm.

The Ralphs banner is going to need a lot of work in those areas especially Bakersfield. If Save Mart was in better shape, they could have been considering expansion to those areas. Stater Bros should consider expanding into the Bakersfield area should the Ralphs banner ends up driving away customers.

I know I'm a little late, but I'm recently catching up with the latest divesture plan announced by Kroger. According to what I read, Kroger is divesting the Albertsons banner to C&S in California. I wonder if this includes the Vons and Pavilions banner also being divested? Or just the Albertson...

i went to one of the rite aids in fresno yesterday and the store was very poorly stocked and out of a lot of products. this can't go on for too much longer.

It will be a matter of time until Rite Aid's luck runs out. At some point they may have to do a combination of liquidating and selling remaining stores to CVS. Sam's Club may be in expand mode in the central valley as they are opening a store in Visalia and are looking at locations in Clovis. Costco is looking for sites in SE Fresno for future expansion as the Sunnyside and Fancher Creek areas are going to see growth in the coming years as will Sanger.
