Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

The m.o. of ORC you described so well sounds exactly the same to me as it has been for years.

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

All of this is very troubling for Walgreens!

Let's not forget the elephant in the room................employee theft.

Some statistics place that at 50% (minimum) to 60% of global shrink numbers (retail).

ORC is the next highest percentage then comes regular shoplifting.

Re: Lifting of Coronavirus restrictions on restaurants

In S. Cali many restaurants have converted their parking lots to outdoor dining. Many cities have repurposed street parking to dining "parks". Congested areas like NYC have not faired to well with trying to repurpose space. Repurposed street parking? That seems like a very bad idea especially if it...

Re: Pavilions Sherman Oaks New Build Plans

"The bad: While I was impressed by the selection of virtually every center store category (a lot of interesting gourmet and lesser know brands mixed in with the regular selection) the organization was awful. The designers must have stopped by their local 'dispensary' before sitting down to plot this...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

I think I know the business pretty well having been a district manager (and other corporate assignments) for two big chains on both coasts. Employees are advised by "smarter" companies for several reasons to NOT apprehend. There is physical safety concerns and frivolous/legitimate lawsuits by allege...

Re: Costco adding self-checkouts again

I am really surprised about these WINCO reports regarding their employees at the self check out or anywhere in the store. All I ever heard about these employees in the past was hard working, great attitude, driven, uber productive, high moral, etc. etc. This could portend that there is trouble from...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

"However as of last July/August the city leadership has proposed cutting $120 million from the SFPD Budget." AND............................reallocating THAT money to respond to problems by OTHER professionals better suited to deescalate issues. Police are the first responders to a shoplifting case...

Re: "American Customer Service Index" rates Albertsons last

Kind of reminds me of how Consumer Reports does their supermarket issue, and the different brands of Kroger and Albertsons are/were all over the map. I guess that Waldbaum's being traditionally in the bottom three was a sign of things to come, but so was Walmart. It really meant nothing (especially...
