Re: Fashion Valley San Diego JCPenney to be booted for apartments

How is the public transit in the FV area? Is the mall itself a hub?... The Fashion Valley Transit Center is located several hundred feet south of the JC Penney store on the grounds of FV. It is a stop on the San Diego Trolley (light rail) and a hub for several bus stops. While that might seem like ...

Re: Self Check Outs

Actually that Marketon has 8 parking spaces out front for curbside pick up. I rarely see anyone using the parking spaces and I am annoyed they are not available for walk in customers. The parking lot isn't very big and sometimes it fills up. They have plenty of labor on checkstands, and baggers... ...

Re: Fashion Valley San Diego JCPenney to be booted for apartments

The busiest, and arguably one of the best kept and operated JCPenney stores I have seen in SoCal is going to be booted from the Fashion Valley mall to build apartments, even though it is surrounded by delayed or canceled apartment projects. There is plenty of land adjacent to develop instead and a ...

Re: Ahold Delhaize Strategy Day

I'm on the Strategy Day call now. There's currently a discussion of the European brands, which I am not paying close attention to. However, JJ Fleeman, the CEO of the US division, spoke giving a high-level overview of the strategy for the US stores. Nothing too surprising for most of it: 85% of Aho...

Re: Self Check Outs

The Ralphs I suspect was a store program that was not corporate authorized as signs were store made. But the Albertsons was definitely a corporate sign package for the self checkout. It was the pair type back to back, and the back units facing the Starbucks were closed. The two open ones faced the ...

Re: New Albertsons Interior Southern California

Smiths used to hire 14 and 15 year olds pre-Kroger, and there were very limited rules on when they could work and what tasks they could perform. It worked somewhat well since the 4 PM to 7 PM period was the busy time for stores on weeknights and you could schedule them during those hours to bag and...

Re: New Albertsons Interior Southern California

So the Unions now allow 3 hour shifts? That's weird and plainly WRONG! I was shocked when I first heard it directly from an Albertsons employee standing next to me and talking to a cashier (who was totally ignoring me the customer as he rang up my transaction) that they were scheduled by "the ...

I am not surprised about Outback-Carrabba's closing locations.

My son worked for both as a Chef. Total nightmare!

In my area I have never received any push back for a price match with Target.

So far.............................

I agree ;)
