Re: Raleys converting Reno Store to ONE Market Format

Was checking the latest round of negative reviews for this store that have been posted over the past few days. https://www.yelp.com/biz/raleys-o-n-e-market-reno?sort_by=date_desc 5 new 1 star reviews on Yelp yesterday and today. That's crazy. Not a single review above 1 star since March 26th. No re...

Re: Chickfila "reopening guide"

[quote=bryceleinan post_id=29386 time=1616898859 user_id=2979 Carson City just opened their building for take-out orders, and as a result, there is a definite decrease in curbside - the drive-thru lines seem to be the same. I'm guessing May 1st will be the next major milestone when individual count...

I truly hope so!

Re: Favorite truck stop chain?

Extending this topic to include truck stop chains. My favorite is definitely Love's. At the Love's I've been to, they always seem to have nice employees and lower gas prices than Flying J/Pilot. I don't know about your observations but I find fewer and fewer Truck Stops AND "rest areas" a...

Re: Kroger- self checkout modification

Giant-MD installed self-checkout lanes like what is described in this thread in the early 2000s. The major issue with them was that someone's order would bunch up at the end of the conveyor belt and hold everything up when one person finished and another started. Since the control screen and card r...

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

My point was that Oregon is responding to their Covid uptick (one of the few States trending in the wrong direction right now). Closing indoor dining is not the right response. The restaurant industry has had enough in the past year (what is left of it). Cut the capacity, cut it to 25%, etc. but at...

Re: Kroger- self checkout modification

I noticed Kroger is installing new self checkouts in some locations to replace more regular checkstands. These are giant things that take up the space of a regular checkstand where you walk up and there is a scanner then after you scan the item there is a conveyor belt which turns itself on and the...

Re: Raleys converting Reno Store to ONE Market Format

What do you mean by "bad banned foods"? The tens and thousands of items they pulled from the store. It isn't just stuff on their "banned ingredients list" - it is stuff that has ingredients that are perfectly acceptable per their list but have, for instance, too high of a sugar ...

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

Probably due to a 29% spike in Covid cases (per Johns Hopkins). I am pretty sure many states at this point would not close anything else down or impose any new restrictions. Between states that flat out need the money, defiant citizens, or politicians scared of a recall, there seems to be a big pus...
