You do have that statewide minimum wage indexed to inflation, no "tipping credit" . . . but so does the Portland area.

There are armed guards posted at Duluth Trading Co now?!? Things have really changed at 'the beach.'

Re: Terrible Experience With Vons

I am curious- on the website, do they have a way to dispute any parts of your order/initiate a return/report a quality issue and get a refund automatically (like almost every other major national store chain- including Kroger- has)? Yes. I had ordered some flowers for my parent in a 'Drive up and g...

WinCo marketing in eastern Idaho

From a full-page newspaper ad in the two larger cities in eastern Idaho (also where WinCo is located): https://s3-media0.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/Voucf3sFrzMo5SATK7YF9w/o.jpg New competition in Idaho Falls - Ammon with Grocery Outlet, Pocatello is a bit tighter with only one Albertsons left and it is n...

Re: WinCo Foods full page ad in Sunday Dallas Morning News

WinCo yet again bought full page ads, though this time in a place I wouldn't think they need this kind of reach or marketing (and are Sunday newspapers really the place for this in '22?)... anyway, they shopped across a Pocatello, Idaho Fred Meyer (near their WinCo store) and Walmart in Chubbuck. Th...

Re: Arco- Marathon?

ARCO is back to marketing as "Top Tier Gas. . . for less" in the PNW. With the recent large spike in prices (and now decrease) nationwide, they were only 10-20c less a gallon than most other stations in this city, anyway. There also are fewer and fewer people using cash, so the "debit...

Re: Basics Market

Basics Market - Farmington is now open. They used direct mail a bit early (they probably hoped to be open by that week) and have posted some to Instagram. Nice update on the old store, I hope to go by sometime in the next few days to see what's presented.

Re: Trader Joe Store Unionizes

Like TJ employees are badly treated? That wasn't really why this store chose to do it. Apparently since 2010, Trader Joe's has significantly reduced pay ins for retirement for longer term employees. That seemed to be the largest rub. Some stores were still unhappy with how things adjusted as the pa...

Yeah, just look what happened to the Save Mart Corp. retirees.

Re: Haircut Places, Beauty Salons, Massage Parlors Disappearing

The pandemic, location, maybe some other factors caused this franchise salon to fold in Portland, Ore. but they are still around to be partnered with - perhaps more locations will appear. Hammer and Nails I will admit it seemed like an "OK" concept (a la Sport Clips), but the pricing was a...

Re: Albertsons' new store in Meridian

I wonder if they'll also be 'circling your savings' in red markers at this newly opened store.
Encountered this on the other side of the state in the intermountain division. Also, it's wild how different the merchandise is from the Portland/Safeway division vs. intermountain.
