Re: Closed stores because of protests

..I am a little confused. They have stores closed temporarily in perfectly quiet and (I thought) safe suburbs of Sacramento, like Folsom. ... That was my original thought, too. La Mesa, CA is a quiet, leafy suburb of San Diego. A VONS and two bank branches were burned to the ground. Scottsdale Fash...

Re: Stores & Riots

Appears the La Mesa, CA Vons was looted then set on fire. https://www.kpbs.org/news/2020/may/31/protesters-shut-down-i-8-both-directions-after-la-/ A Sprouts was looted too. Sprouts?? The only stuff of value in there is the vitamins and even that I am not sure is worth much given how few people use...

Re: United TX acquires August's Pies

The article mentions it is an iconic West Texas brand, so I guess we would have to ask someone who is from there.

Re: Boscov's?

After reading this thread I looked at their website. To my surprise, they have a sportcoat in my size (48 XL)! Even Dillard's rarely carries that size. My guess, based on what little information is available about the company other than they had record sales last year, is they are experiencing shor...

Re: Stores Returning to Regular Hours

Central Phoenix is a mixed bag. CVS and Sprouts are back to regular hours, including at the 24 hour stores. Safeway still closes at 9:00, Fry's is now open until 11:00 (extended from 9:00, but usually 1:00 AM), Target closes at 9:00, and I don't know what Walgreens and Walmart are doing.

BP is still quite common east of the Rockies. They are in IL, OH, MN, WI, etc. I think they are in the South like AL and GA too. ...
That's because BP acquired SOHIO in the 1980's, rebranding them in the 1990s and then acquired Amoco in 1999/2000.

Would like to see pictures of the Bishop Vons. Why are they paying the rent on the K-Mart building?
