Albertsons Remodels

Albertsons definitely seems to have a focus on eliminating the "Premium Fresh and Healthy" decor as well as remaining Sav-On pharmacy signs. Every Premium format I've visited lately is under construction being remodeled to the "Florida" decor. All getting really bad concrete floo...

Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

I would rate visual in stocks at less that 60% in stock. All the traditional impulse merchandising, stacks of coffee makers, As Seen on TV, etc. that lined the racetrack of the store is gone, and the dominant feature is open, empty floor. They've kept the cheap looking vinyl fake wood in dated pine...

Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

Tonight for some reason I thought of stopping by the Murrieta, CA BB&B since I was in need of an unusual size window curtain that I could not locate at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart or Target. This was my first time in this particular location although I have driven by many times, and I know that t...

Re: H-E-B to enter DFW market proper with Plano, Frisco stores

I will take a look here in Reno but I wonder if there is a temporary issue where they did a short term shipment of product from Texas to California. Took a look in Reno tonight. Seems to be the usual WinCo produce. Department didn't seem stocked very well though. Nothing interesting or from Texas. ...

Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

They are doing what appears to be 80% off the entire "Wild Sage" (looks like a knockoff of some Target line) product line. Looks like a quasi liquidation sale. What is most telling also is that they picked "Wild Sage" to do this 80% off liquidation sale on. Of all of their new p...

Re: Terrible Experience With Vons

I'm putting this in the California thread because that's where it happened, but it really applies to Albertsons at the corporate level as well. I mentioned this briefly in another thread, but I don't want to hijack that thread with the full story, so I'll recap briefly here. I made an online "...

Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

I noticed that their Huntington Beach store abruptly disappeared. I don't remember seeing any closing sale. This was a busy store for them despite odd location on 2nd floor. For most Orange County retailers this general area (I-405 and Beach Blvd/Hwy 39/Edinger Ave) contains their top volume stores ...

Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

Went in again today. The store has so many out of stocks in the kitchen area it isn't even funny. Space literally empty of product. Also the household cleaning area, same story. Various areas with no products at all. Also tons of empty shelf pegs on the center aisle. They don't have a plastic shelf...
