Re: New Albertsons Interior Southern California

Studied this some more and it is absolutely a modern take on the "Jewel" decor from the early to mid 2000s. The symbols printed on the walls as if they are Tiffany glass are just like that Jewel decor. As much as I think that decor is timeless and very high quality, this does ring familiar...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact

At some point someone blinks. I don't think they have until November. They need to move on. This can't stay tied up forever. The two companies can't stay in limbo forever. Let's see how earnings/profits with both companies are in the coming 3 months. I think the opportunity for someone to "bli...

On E. California Blvd near S. Lake Ave This is an interesting store that I thought deserved a mention on this forums. I always pass by this store since it's down the street from my gym. A few nights ago, I decided to walk in to buy myself a post workout snack. This has to be the smallest store in t...

Re: New Temecula Smart & Final

Fortunately the Albertsons, Kroger deal has a zero percent chance of passing Judge Adrienne Nelson who was specifically selected to kill it and implement the DOJ and FTC's new merger guidelines. C&S would not have gotten the Vons in Murrieta, anyway. It has a Vons fuel station. Kroger would hav...

Re: New Albertsons Interior Southern California

That blue paint is a thing they do in random spots of stores with the Florida interior too, on new builds. In the case of the new Safeway builds in NorCal instead of blue paint they go with a bright red paint. There we go. Mystery solved. When the store is rebranded they'll just repaint those blank...

Re: Target Paid Membership Program?

The other difficulty is in some cases these independent nurseries are not open very convenient hours for the "casual" customer who wants to buy plants in the evening or on a Sunday. Grocery Outlet has 2 stores that go heavy on nursery in my area blocking off part of the parking lot. Last ...

Yes, agree 100%. I was going through those pictures and saw lots of pictures in the wrong places. * 2650 NE Highway 20 - modern store in a strip mall, near Whole Foods, Costco, Barnes & Noble. This is the one where the tragedy happened. The remodel was after that tragedy, last year. * South Hig...

I think @storewanderer posted the same or similar trend a few weeks ago.

Re: Pavilions - Pasadena, CA

Small format banner may have been Pavilions Place. But there seems to be confusion as the shopping center with Pavilions in Westminster was called Pavilions Place. I think the back of an old Vons card states the name of this smaller format. The small format was indeed called Pavilions Place. No rel...
