Northeast? As far as I know it's all Albertsons up there (Acme, Shaw's, Star Market, Kings).

Re: New Build Stater Bros opens in Chino
Do like how Stater Bros. still does drop ceilings, looks like a modern boutique store combined with a 1980s Albertsons.

Re: Best Buy to Discontinue Physical Media
Even if this category generates few sales for Best Buy, how much foot traffic is it generating? Taking it away gives people one less reason to go to Best Buy. I understand trying to keep the store feeling modern/with the times, and maybe Best Buy feels having this type of dinosaur physical media in...

Best Buy to Discontinue Physical Media
Not sure why this thread hasn't been made yet... Best Buy is discontinuing their DVD and Blu-ray collection. This change takes effect as of Q1 2024, across Best Buy's physical and online operations. It follows after their 2018 discontinuation of the compact disc format. This does leave questions, as...

Re: How is Meijer thriving in Detroit when Target/WM can't keep urban stores open?
My only prediction is more obvious, Meijer is Michigan-based and has been in the Detroit area for much of its existence, therefore they understand the city and can adapt to marketing well.

Re: Kroger Marketplace 2.0
It looks like the first Kroger Marketplace...in Plano. It sounds like... Fred Meyer. They've also got a "new" Smiths Marketplace in east Las Vegas that is pretty much a Fred Meyer with reduced apparel and no electronics. I don't see or hear anything new here. I believe that most Kroger Ma...

Re: Kroger to sell 10 Harris Teeter stores in D.C., Virginia and Maryland to Piggly Wiggly owner
Kroger recently (within the last week) rolled out delivery with Harris Teeter (part of Ocado) in the Washington DC area. Really begs the question why they're investing in this if they basically want to discard Harris Teeter in the area anyway. (Unless the merger falls through, of course, then it's ...

Kroger Marketplace 2.0
https://www.supermarketnews.com/retail-financial/kroger-breaks-ground-first-marketplace-store Interestingly being touted as the "first" Kroger Marketplace, despite the concept having existed since 2004 (and earlier at Smitty's and Fry's), this is a previously-announced store in Plano, Tex...

Re: Forum bugs thread
Not a bug per se, but I find the new design (animated board links) to perform rather slowly.
