Re: Whole Foods Now Accepting Amazon Returns

My Whole Foods has had a staffed Amazon order pickup and return area for quite sometime. This maybe new to your store but they have been doing this for a while

Re: Ross Store closure-Susanville, CA

Ross has upgraded its stores in Phoenix and the one in Flagstaff is great. Sorry to hear that did not extend to the entire chain. I never shopped there in San Diego because their stores were so depressing. What does the upgrade involve? Last time I went to Ross in Reno, and this is a store in a saf...

Re: Starbucks Supply Problems

Starbucks is discontinuing 25 items due to supply issues. Examples include hazelnut syrup, toffee nut syrup, iced green tea, oat milk, refreshers, and more. There has been a shortage of caramel syrup at many stores. Customers of Starbucks are some of the pickiest and difficult customers of any rest...

Re: Stores Dropping Mask Requirements

Once people get inside the store, how is anyone going to know who should and should not be wearing mask?

The FTC is a joke. They don't go after the mergers that truly reduce competition but go after those that make little difference. Seriously, they're worried about less competition for places to buy junk food?

Re: Is 2021 finally the end for Sears/Kmart?

I truly think Kmart will be entirely defunct by the end of this year. As for Sears, I don't know, maybe 12 months from now they'll be a goner too. This has been a slow, painful death that has been going on for way too long. I really think that we are at a point that the two brands are no longer wor...

Re: Shari's moving away from 24 hours in some locations

Shari's also moved much of its corporate office to San Diego and Dallas. Good bet most people now working in corporate haven't even visited or had a meal at Shari's.

Re: Walmart observations

Walmart is going down the same path as Sears and K-Mart did back in their respective days. It will take a while, but it won't end well. Walmart is a mess. They have massive stock outages. Just last week I was there and there wasn't a single gallon of milk. You can't be taken seriously if you can't ...

Re: Farmington Rd and 185th Albertsons

I was shopping in this store on Sunday. It is definitely becoming a Safeway. I am hopeful based on how much the walls are being stripped that it might even be the first store in this area (as far as I know) to receive what we here call the "Florida" decor. The produce department is being ...

Re: Discussion: Convenience stores / gasoline retailers

Anyone know how much market share gas stations have lost to grocery stores and warehouse clubs selling gas? I haven't been to a traditional gas station in years. Much rather go to Costco or grocery store gas station. Lower prices, cleaner, and they generally feel safer. This tends to be more region...
