Re: Pizza Hut bringing back 80s branding

All of the Pizza Huts in my county are still in the classic red brick buildings and have buffets and salad bars. This may because I ate it often when I was younger, but I've always preferred Pizza Hut to Domino's and Little Caesar's. I do remember the Little Caesar's Pizza station at Kmart. I think ...

Re: Sears Fears: The Final Days of Sears & Kmart, 2019

The Sears here still looks really good and stocked. I guess the fact they don't get many customers may play into that though. I'm surprised it's still here given how many are gone now. I wouldn't go to any Kmart at this point from how it sounds. I'm kinda glad the one here closed before things got q...

Re: Dollar Tree Raising Prices

Heard on the news yesterday that Family Dollar is going to start offering more grocery items as well as alcoholic items. Family Dollar has only built one new store here and closed an existing one. Dollar General on the other hand closed one older store, kept another but has built 5 new stores in the...

Re: Sears Fears: The Final Days of Sears & Kmart, 2019

The Home & Life stores look similar to what I had thought up a few years ago, where they open a more showroom like place with only appliances and furniture. The store looks nice, but I agree, it's too late at this point. Too bad. It would be nice to see more competition than just Lowes and Home Depo...

Reminds me of what some Scotty's Hardware stores did in FL - rent the space out for a flea market.

Re: All Dressbarn stores to close

There was one here that was open probably, about 10 years. Then it became Ulta Beauty.

Odd changes at DQ here

We have two DQs here. One is an older, originally Braizer franchised location. The other one is a newer DQ Grill and Chill of mid 2000s era. Both stores have approximately the same thing, though the newer one has more options. They both have the same decoration style on the inside too. Over the past...

Re: Dollar Tree now considered "Severe Violator" by Washington Labor and Industries, Vancouver store fined $503k

Dollar Tree here has such limited staff I've started to not like going. They only have one or two registers open and the lines are backed up down the aisles sometimes. The employees seem stressed and overwhelmed and one time I went everyone was upset because of the long line and started complaining ...

Re: Chick-Fil-A poised to become third largest fast food chain by sales in US

Chick Fil A seems slow to expand in Florida but they are, slowly but surely. It seems they manage their locations well, at least I haven't heard any bad ones. I haven't been to one in about 10 years but definitely better than KFC. KFC in this area hasn't been so great. The location in the next town ...

Re: Kroger Cosing Dearborn, MI Store... Across The Street From Another Kroger

Sounds kind of like some locations Winn-Dixie got when they bought Sweetbay. I know of at least one that was right across the intersection from an existing store. After about a year of running both store, they ended up closing the original W-D and keeping the former Sweetbay. The W-D was actually a ...
