Fast food locations that flat grill vs fire grill
Some fast food chains seem to cook their hamburgers and some chicken products on char grills, others use flat griddles. Hardee’s used to offer char-co broiled burgers since their inception. At some point in the 1980s to around 1990 they began using flat griddles instead, as far as I know. About a de...

Re: Krispy Kreme Discontinues Grocery Store Line
I remember Publix sold Kristen Keene back about 20 years ago. Haven’t noticed them for sale in a long time, but I wonder where they were coming from as there are no KK anywhere close.

Lowes exterior sales area dark
I’ve noticed lately that the outdoor department at Lowes is very dimly lit during the day. Not the open top part or the greenhouse, but the part that is covered just outside, where things like flower pots, garden tools and fencing are stocked. Several aisles and there were no lights on in this area....

Re: Best Buy To Reduce Salesfloor Space For Online Pickup
I did order something from them for the first time (not electronics related). But they had the best price for what I was looking for and I was happy to find shipping was free since it was my first time creating an account.

Re: Subway to build EV charging "oasis" locations
I doubt this will take off. Our local mall, what I consider to be a dead mall at that, recently installed some of these charging stations, behind the abandoned Kmart. I’ve never seen anyone use them. I guess this is done attempt to stay relevant. It’s a shame Subways gone downhill. I used to eat the...

Re: Breakfast Traffic Plunges In November
I wanted to try Taco Bell for breakfast. I get there with one car in lot and one in drive thru. I don’t know what happened but it looked like the car at the speaker came around and parked. I tried the door and it was locked. This was around 10:15, sign on door showed open at 10 AM inside 8 AM drive ...

Re: Breakfast Traffic Plunges In November
I tried Wendy’s for breakfast over the weekend. I got there about 9:30. At first I wasn’t sure the dining room was open. Turns out it was, but no customers inside. Had to wait at counter before anyone noticed me. Had the honey butter chicken biscuit and potato wedges. It was quite good. Nobody else ...

Re: Pizza Hut "Classic" restaurants
Agree on that, KFC seems to be another of those “forgotten” brands at least where I am. The location here seems somewhat dirty and just not much activity there. I did go several times awhile ago when they were offering the $5 Fill Ups. The pot pie and 3 chicken tender meals were quite good for the p...

Re: Self Checkout - Home Depot vs Lowes
Friday night I went to Lowes and ended up buying a few clearance items on impulse unexpectedly ( I must’ve saved $90 on four item all of which I will use).. Went to use the self checkout and only two were open out of four. There was nobody even attending them. One item was a special order store retu...

Re: Walmart observations
I’ve noticed Walmart is sort of stagnating now. The clothing does not seem to be moving. They have some nicer items but I have not noticed any new offerings in some time, and pricing on these knock-off brands is pretty high. It’s about as expensive as the name brands that they are attempting to copy...
