Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact
The trial with the Washington AG has been OK'd by the courts and is now set by September. If Kroger was hoping to get this wrapped up by election day that's looking less and less likely. https://www.kulr8.com/news/court-rules-antitrust-lawsuit-against-kroger-albertsons-merger-can-proceed/article_5c...

Re: Vons for Business?
In business especially when you're the one stuck hosting the meeting and usually some big executives who are flying in, everything has to be perfect and the only places you'll go to are those who have been performing every time you've called upon them. It's all the reputation the business earns. I ...

Re: Kroger will also sell Haggen banner to C&S
They have choices: Piggly Wiggly QFC Mariano's Topps? Carrs Sublease to other operators who may have a shot at running the store and insist they use C&S as supplier, see UNFI attempts to sell Shoppers/take back Shoppers stores/close stores/etc etc etc Sell to Whole Foods or some other competent...

Re: Stores that never were: Sacramento edition
Since Nugget Markets is headquartered in Woodland I expect Wal Mart was kept from expanding in an effort to protect the Nugget Store and the Food 4 Less Store there (franchised by Nugget). Safeway never got into Woodland in the 2000 era expansion around Sacramento area either; they had a site but i...

Re: Vons for Business?
Saw this social media ad and wondered if it was still April Fool's Day. Why would they think businesses would pay inflated retail? SmartSelect_20240404_133841_Facebook.jpg There are also links for business.jewelosco.com and business.shaws.com. I don’t know why ACI is getting into business delivery…

Re: Oxnard's only Ralphs closing May 2024
Reddit user comment, if true, says Vons on 5th & Ventura is also closing. https://www.reddit.com/r/venturacounty/comments/1bkekvh/oxnard_ralphs_will_close_when_lease_expires_in/ That one was built as an Albertsons in 1995 (mid-90s model store), divested to Top Valu during the Albertsons/Lucky m...
