Re: Macys Union Square closing
I am wondering if the Union Square store was basically a consolation prize to activist investors. It has been claimed that the Herald Square store, if sold, would be worth more than the entire company's valuation, so I'm sure there is tremendous pressure from certain investors to sell it. Perhaps s...

Re: Target Paid Membership Program?
I would expect Rite Aid to move to ship from store. That is the trend in the industry to reduce the cost and environmental impact. Everyone is moving away from fulfillment centers after spending decades building them. Now you can close that expensive facility and replace it with a inexpensive cloud...

Target already does that on their website. You can't ship most items less than $10 if your order is less than $35. Walmart a...

Walmart & Target now consolidating online orders
I noticed something new with Walmart and Target's websites. If you add at least two items to your cart, and at least one item has a different delivery date, both stores now give you the option to put all the items together in one package, and have it delivered on the latest date. No membership/subsc...

Re: CVS Closing Dozens of Pharmacies Inside Target
I never said Target was dying. Right now they're in their stable state, but that's where the cracks are forming. Retail analysts noted problems with Sears years ago, with the retailer trying to push more into softlines, yet their continued success proved elusive and within a decade (despite still t...
