Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
The more store locations, the more unsecured creditors who all have to fill out an objection and claim form to get anything (which being unsecured, they get nothing). This is a meaningless comparison because the secured creditors are all that matters and they are entirely united to take over the co...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Gardnerville and Truckee are both officially closing. Last day in about two weeks for both stores. Very sorry to see Gardnerville go. Was consistently so well run over the years. I was really hoping that store would hang on. Also marks the end of my semi easy access to Rite Aid. Really a downer. Mo...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
There is still susanville,Quincy, and east placerville though the latter two especially may be a stretch distance wise. The three Tahoe basin closures announced in today's update adds 31 more locations to the bankruptcy closure list which has now hit a sobering 300 locations. https://restructuring.r...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Interesting thread from some Reddit posters who identify as commercial landlords who own Rite Aid buildings. ~ttps://www.reddit.com/r/CommercialRealEstate/comments/17clz4i/riteaid_lease_negotiations_discussion_thread_for/ Getting a better understanding why so many stores are being closed reading the...

Re: ALDI to acquire Winn-Dixie
That makes sense then. These were in fact, Edwards Pecan Pies. I guess I’ve never heard of thawing Edwards pies in store, or being condoned by Edwards even, but it makes sense given the exact same thing is done in most supermarket bakeries, just with store branded ones. I seem to recall that NBC or...

Re: Publix
Part of why Publix seems maintained well is due to the construction of the stores. Many stores have that terrazzo flooring which basically just looks good forever. Publix Stores do not appear to get the wear and tear of a Wal Mart or a Target type store (fewer giant groups of customers shopping ther...

Re: Modesto A&W closes due to ADA lawsuit
I am fully confident that Clown and Storewanderer will respect that we can disagree. I fully support the ADA law (a federal law for civil rights) and its intention, administered by the Department of Justice. If there are malefactors involved (unethical lawyers), they should be dealt with (disbarred...

Re: Bealls Outlet pushing ratings
I keep getting pinpad surveys when I shop at Safeway. It wants a 0-10 rating then if you rate low it asks what they can do better- has things like "good value" "fresh products" "friendly employees" "fast checkout" and a couple other options. I let them know wh...
