CVS to end liquor sales in "Health Hub" stores
Internally it was announced that CVS is going to stop selling liquor in the "Health Hub" stores. I am not sure how many of these stores actually exist (there are 3 in my area- 2 are very small and ending liquor won't matter; the other is a larger former Sav-On 24 hours and ending liquor wi...

Re: Helium Prices Blowing Up
I can't believe there is a helium shortage in the US. They are clearly not looking in the right places for hot air.
I hope the hospitals have enough.

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco
Apocalypse, end of the world, armageddon in Blue cities. It's exhausting and never ending. It would be nice to hear over reporting and hyperbole on something else once in a while. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ This is referring to San Francisco, not all "blue cities." But just about every majo...

Re: Albertsons announces strategic review of company
Albertsons historically seems to run the Boise area stores better than the rest of the chain. They don't always understand other markets, and that already blurred line has become even more blurred in places like Oregon and Washington where you have Albertsons, Safeway, and the few remaining Haggen ...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco
Quite frankly, you aren’t seeing these store closures in states like Montana, Kentucky, Vermont, West Virginia, etc, because they were never open in the first place. Walgreens has more stores in San Francisco than the entire state of Montana. Montana has a slightly larger population. Target has 13 ...

Re: Church's Texas Chicken
In looking at the current state of Church's, it looks like a lot of franchisees have been increasing prices. I am not so sure they are solid discount chicken chain anymore. The pricing doesn't look much different than a KFC or Popeyes anymore. The chain may be trying to reinvent itself but in the en...

Re: Red Robin Launches $10 Gourmet Meal Deal
Red Robin in Reno has a giant banner that they are now hiring 17 year olds also.
Many fast food places are hiring 15 year olds in Reno. This gets very difficult when a manager has a crew of 8 15 year olds to manage.

Re: Kroger QFC Division Has New President
QFC should be a Mariano's-patterned format with a Pacific Northwest focus. Before Mariano's, QFC was basically the top of the line Kroger division for fresh departments and they ran other divisions to QFC to train them on fresh departments. Then Kroger corporate decided to try and run all the fresh ...

Re: Save Mart in Reno
Keeping that Keystone Store open has done Save Mart no favors for its reputation in the Reno market. However that store serves quite a few people with no vehicle and closing it would certainly create a "food desert." Physically it is in terrible shape, it is a lousy neighborhood, and it i...
