Re: McDonald's PlayPlace History

There was a playground at the Burger King in Reno on Kietzke. There was also one at the Burger King in Sparks on Pyramid Lake Highway.

Indoor. Built with them.

Not sure if they are still there...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

Would a 99 Cent Only Stores run by Dollar Tree be an improvement? I'd rather give them a chance at running it than see it go away completely... Since they have the intellectual property... it is either they run this format/banner or it goes away entirely... Maybe if they ran it as a separate divisi...

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet Buys 11 99 Cent Only Stores

The bigger news is Dollar Tree buying the brand and all trademarks and about 180 leases. Not sure why that's so quiet.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

Rite Aid says it is going to emerge from bankruptcy in late June.

Wonder how they plan to address the inventory issues?

Re: Mcdonald's Free Nuggets & No Refills

The last time I tried Burger King nuggets was a 10 nuggets for $1.49 promotion and I recall trying to eat a couple but gave up and threw them away. Has anything changed on those?

Wendys nuggets have gone way downhill they used to be great back 20 years. The meat is clearly worse quality now.

Re: Law Passed To Ban Plastic Reusable Bags

This goes into effect in 2026 and only targets stores with a liquor license and the super thick plaatic bags. Those super thick plastic bags are a terrible waste and need to go away. Most retailers (entire malls, major retailers) nothing will change they will keep using single plastic use bags in Ca...

Re: McDonald's PlayPlace History

There are a LOT of different McDonalds franchisees around Sacramento and I don't think there are any corporate units left in the market. There were a few corporate units a decade ago closer to the middle of Sacramento. I'm trying not to be negative but to me the old playground equipment looks bright...

Re: Kroger "Boost Member Price"

Seeing more of these 10% off Boost Member Exclusive tags throughout the store... Along with the batch of price increases I notice every week when I shop this chain. Garlic previously .50 now .67. My favorite this week was the Boar's Head Wraps in the deli- they have been 4.99 for years (a true barga...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

It has been quiet but in the background the chain seems to be dying. This is reminding me of the end of Bed Bath and Beyond. What is odd is BBB was a straight line "DOWN" whereas Rite Aid really did look like it was "coming back" and headed toward emerging back in late January/ea...

Docket 694- Dollar Tree purchases hundreds of leases and all intellectual property This docket has 112 leases and all intellectual property. The 112 leases in Docket 694- it says Dollar Tree agreed to purchase "shelving" in those stores for $1,724,767. It appears they are paying $115,000 ...
