Re: Downtown Scottsdale Fry's to become a Whole Foods

After visiting half a dozen Fry's this weekend, I am baffled as to where the criticism is coming from. I've driven from Peoria to Glendale to Gilbert to Chandler to Tempe and to Scottsdale plus through the city. I would kill for a single Ralphs in SoCal that executes on the level of every Fry's I'v...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

This weekend went into more locations. I do not know what is going on but this just keeps getting WORSE and WORSE. Multiple Sacramento area locations it feels like out of stock rate exceeds 50%. One store in Antelope I went into in April looked sort of kind of better, but now this weekend it was a d...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

I've seen some Walgreens to Dollar Tree locations in various states where they literally move in and even keep the old Walgreens shelving/flooring as well. They do get a Dollar Tree checkstand type set up with belts but just a couple checkstands again just like Walgreens had. Also they keep the Walg...

Re: McDonald's PlayPlace History

Boarded up BK along 99 somewhere around Galt or Lodi has a big indoor playground sign on its tall sign. Not sure when it closed.

Re: McDonald's PlayPlace History

There was a playground at the Burger King in Reno on Kietzke. There was also one at the Burger King in Sparks on Pyramid Lake Highway.

Indoor. Built with them.

Not sure if they are still there...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

Would a 99 Cent Only Stores run by Dollar Tree be an improvement? I'd rather give them a chance at running it than see it go away completely... Since they have the intellectual property... it is either they run this format/banner or it goes away entirely... Maybe if they ran it as a separate divisi...

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet Buys 11 99 Cent Only Stores

The bigger news is Dollar Tree buying the brand and all trademarks and about 180 leases. Not sure why that's so quiet.

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

Rite Aid says it is going to emerge from bankruptcy in late June.

Wonder how they plan to address the inventory issues?

Re: Mcdonald's Free Nuggets & No Refills

The last time I tried Burger King nuggets was a 10 nuggets for $1.49 promotion and I recall trying to eat a couple but gave up and threw them away. Has anything changed on those?

Wendys nuggets have gone way downhill they used to be great back 20 years. The meat is clearly worse quality now.

Re: Law Passed To Ban Plastic Reusable Bags

This goes into effect in 2026 and only targets stores with a liquor license and the super thick plaatic bags. Those super thick plastic bags are a terrible waste and need to go away. Most retailers (entire malls, major retailers) nothing will change they will keep using single plastic use bags in Ca...
