Re: Ace Hardware?

The past couple times I've gone into Ace Stores I've left empty handed due to the stores not having what I needed. The stores were semi messy, price labeling was sloppy, and one store was so helpful it was so obvious they thought I was there to shoplift and I became uncomfortable to even browse. Th...

Re: Target Paid Membership Program?

Also looking at manufacturer coupons primarily on drugstore products and you have to "APPLY" these offers via the app before checkout to use. That is not "AUTOMATIC" at all... So it appears to work like this: "DEAL" - "auto applied" - these look like the old s...

Re: Target Paid Membership Program?

I thought Target Circle offers are automatic now? This does NOT appear to be the case. I just was looking at some items in their app, and had to explicitly clip an app offer for 20% off some random Good & Gather product, and this "offer" expires today. Or did they already reverse cours...

Re: Walmart to close Health Care Clinics

I know that my independent pharmacy (top rated in West Hollywood) struggles with reimbursements. He showed me the numbers. He is 1/4 of million dollars behind in reimbursements. Like WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk to your doctors about this. You will hear the same story but even higher $$$ dependi...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

A couple of those things are built in intentionally. The "deposit" for the cart gets the customer to return it to the rack (which most times are only by the store, unlike other stores that have spots around the lot), thus no need to pay someone to collect them, and therefore that salary s...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact

Not sure if they still do or not, but Price Chopper (Market 32) based here in NY did at one point have such a fee for cash back with a debit card. As far as I remember, they were the only ones that ever did that in this area. That is a chain who started charging bag fees before they were legally ma...

Re: CA Senate Bill 478- "Junk fees" bill

What concerns me is how "credit card surcharges" will be impacted by this or IF they will be impacted. I am seeing credit card surcharges at far too many restaurants and even seeing them at some smaller retailers as of late. They are "legal" - and you don't have to pay with a cr...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

For some reason the GNC.com website is now selling a bunch of Rite Aid brand vitamins. This may not seem unusual since GNC has had a contract to supply Rite Aid brand vitamins for decades now. But this is very recent the GNC.com sells Rite Aid vitamins. Also most/all of these are "out of stock...

Re: Wawa CEO: There is no "Gentlemen's agreement" with Sheetz

As an example, even though not due to this situation - many posted about no longer getting coffee from Cumberland, since they went from their old $0.99 to $1.29 and then to having different prices for different sizes, such that a large cup that had been $1.07 (after tax) is now $1.83. They switched...

Re: Mcdonald's Workers in Oakland, California Go On Strike Due To Rats

This is a very janky McDonalds. It is on the edge of Downtown Oakland in what historically hasn't been a great area. Right before COVID they were just about finishing with a very nice large apartment/condo complex across the street and fixing up some other nearby buildings in an effort to revive the...
