Krispy Kreme Sparks, NV 8AM-6PM Drive Through ONLY

Looks like Krispy Kreme is a couple steps from the end out here at this Sparks, NV location. They have now cut operating hours to 8 AM To 6PM. They did that last week. Supposedly short staffed but they had the 2 or 3 employees they typically have when I went in last week. This week they cut further ...

Re: Taco Bell Air Conditioning Problems

I've found 3 Carls Jr. locations around Reno that do not have working air conditioning over the past month.

You should feel the kitchen... the charbroiler puts off an unreal amount of heat...

Re: Pattison Group acquires Save Mart

Went to Save Mart today. 6.49 for dozen of large store brand eggs. I'm not sure I've ever seen this item with such a high price. Meat pricing isn't as bad as Safeway but with how their meat looks (terrible) pricing isn't all that relevant. I don't know if this chain is trying to fail or what. Store ...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact

I hope there's no alternative division sale plan.

Time will tell.

With how Kroger runs things lately, I'm satisfied with their current footprint. Build some new Marketplace stores in growing areas but don't take over undersized overpriced Safeway units.

Re: Big Lots circling the drain: More closures, bankruptcy looms

Stage had dozens of stores in conversion to off price when the 2020 closures of non essential businesses occurred. Even though many locations of Stage were not in areas that required non essential businesses to close, they still closed all stores voluntarily. Stage limped along in its old format. Tr...

Re: Conn's files for bankruptcy, to close more than 70 stores

OP's links don't work. This seems to be a good summary: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/retail/2024/07/25/conns-homeplus-bankruptcy-closing-stores-list/74538801007/ They bought another chain, Badcock, that's also closing stores. It looks like they sell at the lower end of mid-market furniture,...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact

I don't understand why Kroger is so stubborn. They should have agreed to divest 100% of Albertsons assets in Colorado. Everything. Every last store. Division office, all manufacturing. Throw in the WY, NE, NM, and SD Denver Division Safeways too. Divest the division as a whole functioning "piec...

Re: North San Diego Whole Foods canceled, Jimbo's to take spot

Too bad re: downtown. Was there for dinner this week and walked about 15 min from Santa Fe station to Third Ave and C with no Ubers avail thanks to Comicon. A few ill people on the street, but didn't seem different than usual, maybe even a bit better. No tents on our walk. Surprised Little Italy wo...

Re: Hong Phat opening in former Walmart location

I think they'll try to use third party tenants to fill a lot of the space in the large former Wal Mart.

These types of stores... they're just trying to fill the space up. At the same time they provide an outlet at very low rent for smaller businesses to set up shop.

Re: Wendy's $1 Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit

This product used to use a small premium chicken filet (similar to the Spicy or Classic Homestyle 6.59+sandwich). It was quite good.

They changed recently and it now uses the same pressed formed manufactured chicken patty as the $1 chicken sandwiches. It is terrible.
