Carls Jr. Reduce Dine In Hours: Sacramento Area
Went to a Carls Jr. in Sacramento area. This location was open 24 hours before COVID, not entirely sure why, but it was. Since then it has been open like 5 AM to 2 AM. Dine in was open until 11 PM. It is one of the previous corporate units now run by some franchisee. They actually do an okay job. Ne...

Re: Did Carl's Jr on Sierra College Granite Bay ever have a playground??
I forgot the Carls Jr. in Auburn on Lincoln Way which is out of business now, used to have an outdoor playground. This was always a franchise unit and had this from the time it opened. Mid 90's unit as I recall. Older than it looked.

Re: Cracker Barrel Price, Menu, Store Size Changes Coming
This does not sound good at all. They tried smaller menus and significantly increased prices in OR/Sacramento. Those stores are now closed/out of business. Did the CEO miss that fact that the initiatives they tried drove those stores out of business? Also sounds like they are going to go around and ...

Re: Five Below - Self Checkout Not Allowed
I am still seeing Five Below opening stores all over anytime I travel I see at least a store or two coming soon. Their stock is doing great. We will see where they end up in the future. I do NOT hold any of their stock. When I go into their stores in my area they have very few customers and the cust...

Re: Daiso to open in Vancouver, WA
I wonder if Daiso US is being operated by different franchisees, or family members etc. like H-Mart? I agree there is no consistency at all in store sizes, merchandise, operations etc. They are all part of the corporation. They had a couple long term probably worked for them in Japan decades ago pe...

Re: New Temecula Smart & Final
It was odd to see the difference between the two Ralphs stores. Murrieta was charging $14.99/lb for the BH turkeys and $17.99 for the BH Roast Beef. The cheese I wanted that they stopped ordering at that store was $12.99. Temecula was $13.99 for the turkey but BH oven gold was on sale there for $9....

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing
Dollar Tree is trying to purchase 58 leases. 37 in CA. Includes Reno and Carson City in my area. Dollar Tree can't run the stores they have here, don't know why they think it is a good idea to add any more. Terrible operator. Ugh. Couldn't it be something better- anything better?

Re: Sears & Kmart 2024: Will someone please put them out of their misery?
Went into Sears today. The women's and kid's clothing is fully restocked; I haven't seen a full sales floor like this in a Sears in many years. The brands are unfamiliar and generic. The prices on the items are more along the line of a Burlington or Ross price; most items were 30% off or 50% off, an...

Re: Springfield Private Label
Springfield used to be the predominant private label brand in California, even having its own ad campaign and billboards. It became the store brand of Arden Mayfair even sold at its El Rancho stores in Arizona. The initial demise of Springfield came when United Grocers and Certified Grocers merged....
