Re: McDonald's preparing for big staffing cuts

They are always around somewhere, seeing as how the kiosks can place orders but can't take money (note that says money, not plastic things that will pay later). If the location has enough cash customers the counter will actually be staffed. I am seeing the counter actively ignored. Customers litera...

Re: Sears reopening Union Gap, WA and Burbank, CA

Not sure the Sears trademark is worth protecting at this point. The Sears name simply does not mean what it once did. Just because it isn't as great as it used to be, doesn't mean it's worthless. I think the brand name would go for maybe $20-25 million or so. The Circuit City brand was sold after b...

Re: Sears reopening Union Gap, WA and Burbank, CA

Wonder where they're fulfilling that from...almost want to buy something small to see. If you do, please report back! I bought something from a third party seller on sears.com recently. It got shipped from Amazon :x Before the downsizing they were fulfilling orders out of the Miami Kmart. I don't s...

Re: Bellis Fair Mall Bellingham, WA Sold

That Bellingham Mall is the closest Target to the Canada line there isn't it? That in itself should make it a really viable mall as that should be drawing in a ton of traffic alone. But that is a rather lousy Target and I'm surprised Target hasn't figured out a way to get a better/larger store there.

Re: Sears reopening Union Gap, WA and Burbank, CA

We will see what the pictures look like when these reopen and what exactly they have to sell. The Kmart website continues to sell some private label clothing of old Kmart labels Basic Editions, Northwest Territory, and Route 66. I find it interesting they continue to procure these items for only wha...

Re: (Sorry a little "off topic") Johnson & Johnson personal care products new name

They continue to use Nabisco branding on most cracker products. Premium saltines, Wheat Thins, and various other crackers still have the Nabisco logo on the package on the top corner of the box. Also I have seen Nabisco on some secondary type cookie products as the actual brand. Nabisco Chocolate Wa...

Sprouts has promised investors 30 new stores in 2023, and 10% unit growth going in 2024 forward (that will be 40+ new stores per year going forward).

Re: Publix in Cincinnati?

Who doubted Publix would do well in the Atlanta area? Publix displaced Kroger. Kroger's Cincinnati operation is very different from Kroger's Atlanta operation. Higher operating standards in Cincinnati. Further, at the point Publix went into Atlanta, and during the time period Publix built up its sh...

Re: Gelson's To Debut New Store Concept At EV Charging Stations

Save Mart has had charging stations at a few of its stores since before COVID. I am not sure who the provider is and nobody is ever using them.

This was an initiative of Save Mart due to the lack of fuel operations.

Re: McDonald's preparing for big staffing cuts

I went to McDonalds this morning ... I won’t be using it again. You must be lucky. In our locations locally, no one is ever at the register / menu board. Good luck! They are always around somewhere, seeing as how the kiosks can place orders but can't take money (note that says money, not plastic th...
