Re: Circle K Lowers Prices on Drinks
First off most of these Circle Ks in CA especially NorCal are franchises/dealer sites and they do not even participate in the Circle K app. This is the first problem. With Circle K, there are several brands. Circle K is normally company owned. Over the years, Couche Tard also bought Kangaroo and On...

Re: Brookshire Grocery to open 51st Super 1 Foods store
This store opened this morning. Developing Lafayette, a website dedicated to all things new here, has some pretty good pictures on their site here: https://developinglafayette.com/wp/inside-the-new-super-1-foods-at-ambassador-dulles-opening-tomorrow/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0WH8VJE1h0pHkDYmE0pXf7...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact
Apparently the plan has been tweaked to add another Texas and Louisiana store to the list (doesn't say which one from what) as well as "increased distribution capacity, provisions for expanded transition services and an additional dairy facility." https://973thedawg.com/ixp/36/p/kroger-al...

Re: Walmart introduces new private label brand
Sam Walton didn't curate a damned thing at Sam's Club. He literally stole the entire concept from Sol Price and was proud of it. He met with Sol Price and picked his brain about his Price Club membership warehouses then studied the stores out West and made his own version starting in the South. Thi...

Re: Walmart introduces new private label brand
Walmart most likely wants to get rid of the Sam's Choice brand so that Sam's Club can be split off from Walmart. Sam's Club can be sold off and anything with the Sam's name will be eliminated from Walmart. If many of you recall from Walmart lore, Sam's was a personal project of Sam Walton. He very ...

Everyone -
We've moved badly off the topic of the Walmart Health Care Clinics here by talking about Bettergoods, so I've split that into its own topic and moved all the posts related. Any discussion of that should take place over there.

Re: Subway Sale to Roark
Given the relatively small size of some Subway locations, I could see some potentially converting to Baskin-Robbins. The layout of the counter space is somewhat similar, although coolers obviously would need to be swapped out. I can't see a Subway co-branding with Baskin-Robbins unless it is a larg...

Re: Subway Sale to Roark
I wonder how many Subway operators will take the opportunity to change completely out of the concept and switch to another Roark brand. I imagine it will be a significant number, especially in markets where Jersey Mike's is still aggressively adding locations like SoCal. I cannot recall the last ti...

Re: Homeland (former Winn Dixie) in Marietta, OK destroyed by EF4 tornado
That's ugly. There are dozens of that store model throughout the southeast that could come apart just like that - and have. Winn Dixie had tons of those. I know of at least two Super 1 Foods locations in that store model still operating near me. If you look at Google Maps, it also took out the Dolla...
