Re: Coronavirus and Plastic Bag Bans

This has always seemed to be low on the priority list, but certain people on here *cough* bring it up again and again ad nauseum. Well, it is an ever changing subject in light of the current situation. Sorry to those who want to use reusable bags and are now being told what to do and prohibited fro...

Re: BP gas stations return?

The majority of BP stations in the Philadelphia region have vanished in the last few years. I can't think of any in particular that wasn't an Amoco conversion (Amoco had a lot of new stores with large convenience stores and/or a McDonalds or BK co-tenant a couple of years before BP took over). Many ...

Re: Self checkout barriers at Home Depot

I don't go to Home Depot very often, but last month I needed one item. The local one only had one self checkout open and it was only to be used for those buying big items that would be hard to hold up to the cashier (lumber, appliances, whatever). I approached it as there was nobody in line when i g...

Re: Boscov's?

After reading this thread I looked at their website. To my surprise, they have a sportcoat in my size (48 XL)! Even Dillard's rarely carries that size. My guess, based on what little information is available about the company other than they had record sales last year, is they are experiencing shor...

Re: Coronavirus and Plastic Bag Bans

Man after catching up on what is going on tonight and combined with the Coronavirus regulating and being concerned with bag types really needs to be something pretty low on the priority list right now. It probably shouldn't even be on the priority list. This has always seemed to be low on the prior...

Re: Food Lion To Buy 62 Bi-Lo / Harvey's Stores From Southeastern Grocers

That's kind of funny, it means some locations will once again return to being under Ahold's ownership (minus the Bi-Lo name of course).

Re: Why Americans don't understand Aldi

Aldi seems to take a while to catch on to new areas, but when they do, the stores generally stay busy. With the rising cost of groceries, it should only be a benefit to them.

Re: Restaurants Selling Ingredients

Costco has been selling off supplies typically used for in-store food production. The Food Court menus are permanently shrinking so the overstock from items that aren't going forward are being sold out on the sales floor, such as big packs of cheese and frozen chicken strips. My location also seemed...

Re: JCPenney considering filing for bankruptcy

I think JCPenney could survive if they had a slightly lower price point and addressed some of the staffing issues, including moving to a dedicated Customer Service desk for stuff like returns, pick-ups, etc. I think it is too little, too late. Kohl's beat them to the punch and even they aren't doin...

Re: Wendy's Takes Beef Off The Menu

I stopped at a Wendy's last night in PA and they already had signs up on the speaker and menu board that the larger burger patties weren't available and were encouraging people to order Jr. cheeseburgers and such (luckily I just stopped to redeem my free spicy chicken sandwich coupon on the App).
