I find it a bit hard on the eyes myself and not really a fan.BatteryMill wrote: ↑September 15th, 2023, 7:46 pm Not a bug per se, but I find the new design (animated board links) to perform rather slowly.

Re: Big Lots
This isn't a huge surprise, but it looks like Big Lots is experimenting with a format that is strictly 'Home' categories. It does seem for like the last several years furniture and home items have taken priority to other departments in the store. https://www.macombdaily.com/2023/09/14/big-lots-home-...

Re: Kohl's Opening 45 Sephora Stores This Year
That was my experience the last time I visited a Kohls. Their merchandise used to be comparable to Macy's, albeit priced higher (so they could hand out coupons and Kohl's Cash). Now, it's higher-priced Target merchandise without the buzz one finds at Target. While I don't find Kohl's to be particul...

Re: Kroger to merge with Albertsons?
Question is, what else did Haggen have? Don't forget that C&S is primarily doing wholesale (to a good number of stores in some places), so it's a bigger company than "just 12 stores". Also remember that they handled taking over 180+ Grand Union stores (even though they sold off many f...

Reading that article, I'm surprised that location leaves both entrances open. That is usually the first thing to be secured when crime starts to get bad.

Re: ALDI to acquire Winn-Dixie
The grocery industry tends to overreact with a big announcement like the ALDI/SEG marriage, will we see Lidl try to make some moves on the American market? Given Lidl's struggle to find much of a footing in the U.S., I highly doubt we'll see much else other than a slow exit. Lidl already experiment...

Re: Returns Stores
I've actually seen some 'Favorite Day' prepackaged donut holes and such at Grocery Outlet every now and then, but I've never seen any other Target brand items either.storewanderer wrote: ↑August 27th, 2023, 9:43 pm
One place I've never seen any Target product: Grocery Outlet.

Re: Returns Stores
Yep, these places are everywhere....some are stores with literal stuff dumped in bins, others are a bit more organized. Some of these operations seem to be mainly made up of Target merchandise, which again, is a little scary that Target has this much excess merchandise (one near me sometimes seems t...

Re: Celebrations by Party City “Store within a store” at new Winn Dixie?
Stop & Shop had that as well, but don't remember which brand they used (and also not sure if the family Giants did that as well or not, since those weren't local enough to go to). I remember Giant (PA) had and promoted Staples products for a short while, .I want to say the mid 2000's?, so I'm g...

These days, people don't have money for much else.storewanderer wrote: ↑August 24th, 2023, 5:39 pm Ownership of Forever 21 is getting quite tangled up.
I find it ironic this junk "fast fashion" that creates so much waste continues to be so popular among the young consumers.
