KFC Explodes in North Carolina

https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/kfc-explosion-north-carolina-213949033.html A massive explosion destroyed a KFC in North Carolina. No one was hurt. The restaurant closed at 10 PM and the restaurant exploded about 12:30 AM. They do not yet know the cause. It reminds me of the time an outdated McDonald...

Re: Thrifty Ice Cream Packaging

I saw Thrifty Ice Cream with the old packaging at a Seafood City restaurant the other day for $4.99. They sold 4 different flavors: black cherry, cookies n cream, pineapple, and pistachio. It was probably the best ice cream on sale in the store.

Subway Closures Explained

I now realize why so many busy Subway stores in prime locations near me closed down. Competition between stores and people getting other stores in trouble. https://www.sfgate.com/business/article/Subway-got-too-big-Franchisees-paid-a-price-14076769.php Subway corporate needs to get involved. Many sa...

Re: Bay Area Safeways getting Remodel?

There is one remodel of a Lifestyle Safeway right now in Walnut Creek, California. The store was remodeled a few years ago into the cheap Lifestyle decor. The glass windows in the front have been replaced by a solid wall. The store is not getting an expansion as far as I can see. Since Albertsons pe...

Re: Target Self Serve Snack Bar

The Costco snack bar probably does not make that much money. They keep the prices affordable so that it attracts customers to shop in the rest of the store. The Target Food Avenue tried to attract customers, but the food is not as good as Costco. People go to the Costco snack bar just for the afford...

Re: Albertsons/Safeway 2018 & 2019: Openings and Closings

Hobby Lobby is so backwards. A cashier used to not be able to void an item without a CSM approval. You had to get a CSM (manager) to approve. Probably to prevent employees from undercharging friends or relatives. I would think that a preferred replacement would be Ross or Burlington. They are non gr...

Re: Ridgecrest Earthquake Retail Photos

I learned in Statistics that earthquake predictions are subjective. The 5 percent probability of a larger earthquake is just a guess. No one knows if a larger one is coming soon. However, I would invest in earthquake insurance now and stock up on supplies before the stores are wiped clean or if a su...

Re: Ridgecrest Earthquake Retail Photos

The first earthquake was small in comparison to the second earthquake which was 7.1. It was over 11.2 times stronger as the first one and lasted 40 seconds. Victorville was an hour away, but I saw photos of many stores with items spilled on the floor. They say there will be aftershocks for years, as...

Re: Taco Bell Tortilla Shortage

Taco Bell is probably getting their tortillas from the cheapest possible supplier. I have aways found their ingredients to be of the cheapest and lowest quality. The chips taste awful and the company seems to want to cut costs on ingredient quality. If Taco Bell wanted to, they could buy tortillas f...

Re: Thrifty Ice Cream Packaging

Thrifty Ice Cream is now being sold at select Rite Aid stores in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Eight flavors are being sold. Of course, you can find Thrifty Ice Cream at gas stations in California. I have seen hand scooped cones offered at a 76 Station. I also saw Thrif...
