Re: Tabletop tablets in chain restaurants

The kiosks should be able to be integrated into the tables. They should be thin tablets that could fold down flat and disappear into the tables. However, the Ziosk company probably makes their money off of ads and they want the screens to display at all times.

Re: Bristol Farms, Metropolitan Market & Lazy Acres Acquired!

Seafood City seems like a more of a mini-mall with a supermarket and restaurants. Ranch 99 is a supermarket with a few seats for those who wish to eat. The entire look and feel of Ranch 99 is rundown and messy. Very few non-Asian people would shop there. The things that they sell are totally differe...

Re: Walmart observations

This is shocking as Walmart has been eliminating tile on all previous remodels. Even Target has tried to eliminate tile in some of their new remodels. There was one exception where the concrete floor had too many cracks and Target had to use new tile instead. Walmart wants concrete floors as they do...

Re: Southern California Grocery Workers Vote to Strike

Working at a grocery store years ago seemed like a good job. You had the union to ensure good pay and wages. Now, the wages seem lower and the employees are constantly quitting. I have had friends who worked for Safeway as new employees and quit for other retail jobs. The old union workers might hav...

Re: Walgreens plans to close 200 stores

Walgreens has abandoned the front end in many of their stores. The prices are so high and the shelves are so empty that it would not impact sales much anyway. The profit is made in the pharmacy, and Walgreens is too cheap to staff the front end. Are these Walgreens near Walmart or Target stores? If ...

Re: Walmart closes St. Paul (MN) store on University Ave.

Walmart was probably targeting supermarket chains at that time. They wanted to take on the supermarket chains and run the other supermarkets out of business. It was a miscalculation on Walmart's end. Customers did not like Walmart's Neighborhood Markets due to the lack of certain items. Often there ...
