Safeway Northern California Ad Has The Vons Logo Now

The local San Francisco Bay Area Safeway Ad has added the Vons logo right next to the Pak N Save logo which is next to the Date Range of the Ad.

I have not noticed it before until now. Is this new? Vons is virtually unknown in Northern California.

Re: Bealls Outlet pushing ratings

There are some retail chains where the survey score is definitely tied to the store manager's bonus and the district manager's bonus. The conference calls constantly are about getting the best survey score possible. This leads to managers calling customers trying to right all wrongs and begging them...

Re: Chuck E. Cheese removing animatronics

Chuck E Cheese needs to remodel their restaurants. There are some really old and tired locations. I don't know what kids find interesting there. The games probably haven't changed much in years. When I went during the pandemic to buy chicken wings, they turned out most of the lights so it was mostly...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

I am shocked by the Rite Aid closure in Davis, California. That leaves only 3 true drugstores in the entire city. The city has over 66,000 residents and 37,000 university students. There will be no drugstores in the south end of the city. Good luck trying to fill prescriptions in the city. The lines...

The 99 Store Mail Ad

I looked in my mail and found a two sided ad for The 99 Store. It advertised various items such as $7.99 to around $17.99. There were some small appliances. I have not been to the store in a while, but do they actually sell that much stuff in the higher price range?

Re: Safeway Operations

The Safeway stores recently remodeled to the Pavilions decor in the San Francisco Bay Area all have huge deli areas with sandwich counters. They call it The Bistro. Those stores have lots of staff at the sandwich counters, but still no soda. Whatever happened to the self serve soup bar at Safeway? T...

Re: Safeway Operations

I always wondered about the quality of those Boar's Head pre-made sandwiches that are sitting out in those refrigerated displays. I believe Safeway is buying new plastic carts because they are getting stolen for scrap metal. Walmart constantly runs out of shopping carts in the San Francisco Bay Area...

Safeway Operations

I noticed that the local San Francisco Bay Area Safeway stores no longer have deli soda fountains. They used to have tiny versions of the Coca Cola Freestyle machines. I also noticed that Safeway is adding some new shopping carts. These are black plastic that look like the old Lifestyle shopping car...

Re: 'Target CEO claims customers are saying ‘a big thank you’ for locking up merchandise'

Locking up merchandise really reduces sales. You get less theft, but many more customers will just walk away without buying those items. Then they might order online at Amazon and do home delivery. Then you have to hire more employees to run around unlocking the glass cases. What is worse is if cust...
