Re: McDonald's and Krispy Kreme
I have tried the Krispy Kreme donuts at Walmart that are supposedly delivered every morning. They seem decently fresh. Maybe there would be a delivery truck driving to every McDonald's in the morning. I assume that McDonald's would heat up the donuts either like the chocolate chip cookies or the hot...

Re: Tabletop tablets in chain restaurants
That QR code scam is scary. Exxon and Mobil have QR code stickers on their gas pumps. It would be easy for criminals to post fake QR codes on these pumps. I have used the QR codes in the past. It was only recently that I soley use the ExxonMobil app to pay. I believe it was the Walmart app that let ...

Re: Restaurant Adoption of pay-by-phone systems
During COVID I went to a local brewery restaurant and they had a QR code on the table to scan for online ordering. I ordered and paid on my phone with no app needed. I thought that it was easy to use and my food was delivered to my outdoor table. I can see how eliminating waiters might be a cost sav...

Re: Target Pricing - San Francisco vs. other areas
Actually the Walmart store near Pleasant Hill is so not busy, so it is clean and organized. A lack of customers let the employees keep it spotless. It is the Target stores in the area that are messy and dirty. The Pittsburg, California Target was so messy and dirty. It closed down recently.

Re: Target Pricing - San Francisco vs. other areas
The San Francisco Bay Area is dominated by many Target stores. There are only a small number of Walmart stores and virtually all of those are not supercenters. For some reason people in the San Francisco Bay Area are very snobby. They will never set foot in a Walmart. The closet Walmart to the Targe...

HealthHub was supposed to be a store where you could get healthcare such as Doctor's appointments, hearing tests, optical, etc. The HealthHub in the former Longs Drugs Flagship store in Walnut Creek, used to have hearing tests, but that died a quick death. Now it has nothing. There are no hearing te...

Re: Trader Joe's to add Roseville Store
In the San Francisco Bay Area there are Trader Joe's all over the place. In the suburbs there are some in practically every major suburb and they are always busy. Some suburbs that are solidly middle class have multiple stores. San Francisco and Oakland have multiple locations. Many Trader Joe's in ...

Re: Macys Closing Stores by 2026
West Valley Mall in Tracy, California is a very tired looking mall that was built in the 90s. There are many vacant stores and an abandoned Sears. The entire mall seems very depressing. There are few customers and the only store that does decent business is Target. Tracy is a distant suburb of the S...
