CVS in Emeryville, California is closing September 8. The pharmacy records will be sent to the CVS inside of the Target in the same city. Nearby San Francisco lost 6 CVS stores in January and 1 in downtown Berkeley in June.

Re: Save Mart closing pharmacy

Save Mart only gets over the counter products from Topco. Their prescription drugs come from a supplier such as McKesson. Topco offers a pharmacy program to get lower prices when buying prescriptipn drugs, and better reimbursement from insurance companies. Topco is smaller than CVS or Walgreens and ...

Dutch Bros. To Open 130 Stores In 2022

Dutch Bros. is set to open 130 stores in 2022. The drive-thru coffee chain has 603 stores in 14 states. They plan to open 4,000 locations and the vast majority of growth will be company owned locations. This chain is very popular. The drive-thru small format seems to be a much cheaper to run operati...

Re: Save Mart closing pharmacy

I feel sorry for the customers who have to use Walgreens now. Walgreens pharmacies are so understaffed that you can be put on hold for an hour. The pharmacies are so busy that they cannot handle all of their phone calls and just trying to get your prescriptions filled would be impossible unless you ...

Re: Arco- Marathon?

There are Food Mart stores in Northern California, but they are small and might just be a tiny cashier room with a min...

Re: Save Mart closing pharmacy

Amazon pharmacy really is not that profitable. The vast majority of prescriptions for blood pressure or simple medical issues is low profit. The profit of pharmacies is getting people to vaccinate or shop other products in the pharmacy. Amazon Pharmacy might help to increase the number of Prime Memb...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

San Francisco has a very negative view among many people today. These safe injection sites might draw more drug users to the city and there probably won't be room for every drug user. The city is dealing with a migration of drug users from all over the state and even the rest of the country due to S...

Re: Kohl's Self Pickup

Back in the 80s or 90s Sears had phones on the wall where you could order items from the mail order catalog and have them sent to the store for pickup. The items would be stored in a self serve pickup area which was a maze and only you knew the correctly marked cubby hole to pick it up. That was whe...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

San Francisco blames Walgreens for filling opioid prescriptions and claims that Walgreens was encouraging drug abuse. Now San Francisco is talking about opening official safe injection sites so that drug users can use drugs in a safe supervised environment. Is this not encouraging drug abuse? The Te...
