Re: Albertsons/Vons Giving Away Sanitation Products

I remember the Safeway app had a free roll of toilet paper on their app. That was when they had those tissue paper wrapped rolls of toilet paper that were probably the same ones you see at hotels. They were such poor quality that they had to give them away since they were not selling.

Re: Albertsons/Vons Giving Away Sanitation Products

They really must have no room to store them. A while back Walmart was giving away bottles of hand sanitizer, because they had too much.

Re: Taco Bell Issues

Taco Bell is really running out of random supplies. I was given a wooden fork for my Loaded Taco Fries. There is no ban on plastic utensils that I know of. Perhaps there is a plastic fork shortage.

Winco Operations

I went to a Winco in Brentwood, California, and it seems to have been remodeled recently. The outside was repainted in practically the same colors so it was hardly noticeable. The interior used to be an old Cub Foods decor with orange letters on the walls. The old coffin refrigerators have been ripp...

Re: Macy's Neighborhood Store Watch

Macy's at Bayfair in San Leandro, California was always in a low income high crime area. The mall is practically dying. The only real attraction is Target. The Concord, California store is in a declining mall that suffered due to the rodent infestations that wiped out 70 percent of the restaurants a...

Re: Short staffed restaurants

What we are seeing is a wage shortage. The wages are too low to attract workers. There are plenty of people who are able to work, but the wages are so low that they choose other higher paying jobs. In the past, low wage workers consisted of college students. Now they can work at an Amazon warehouse ...

Re: Chickfila "reopening guide"

Sam's Club has Southern Style spicy frozen chicken sandwiches which are quite good. Some say they are just as good as Chick-fil-A. You microwave the bread separately and the chicken tastes very much like Chick-fil-A.

Re: Chickfila "reopening guide"

I also experienced a horrendous Popeye's experience in Dublin, California where the dining room was closed and the single drive through line was over 35 minutes long with no way to escape. There were people who kept parking in the lot and walking up to the doors only to find that the doors were lock...

Re: Taco Bell Issues

Jack in the Box used to offer self serve lids, straws, napkins, ketchup packets, etc. Now they are all behind the counter. You have to ask. They think that people will just drink out of the cup with no straw and wipe their hands on their sleeves. Taco Bell does this too at some reopened dining rooms...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

The Walgreens across the bay in Oakland, California at 82nd and International Boulevard is closing soon. The theft in Oakland is just as bad. The homeless encampments are even bigger in Oakland, but I believe that the shoplifting here is done not by homeless but by residents of the neighborhood. Wal...
