Re: Safeway NorCal Remodels and New Stores
The former Safeway Flagship store in Dublin, California is remodeling their gas station. I do not know if Safeway is expanding it or just replacing the old equipment. A new Costco Gas station opened up nearby about a year ago, and Safeway lost many gas customers. Are there any new Safeway Gas statio...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco
I found Sacramento to be a totally different city. It seemed almost park-like around the Capitol. There were lots of trees and it seemed much less like a concrete jungle. However, the city seemed so spread out. It was difficult to walk around. I don't know about the night life, but it seemed really ...

Wawa Ends 24 Hour Operations at Some Stores
Wawa is ending 24 hour operation at multiple stores in Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood. Seven out of 12 Wawa stores now close before midnight. One Philadelphia store recently switched to an 8 PM closure and another closes at 11 PM. Employees commented off the record that it was due to excess...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco
In 2019, before the pandemic San Francisco was a bustling city. Tourists filled the streets and restaurants were packed with people. Stores were filled with customers. Walgreens was packed shoulder to shoulder with tons of customers. At lunch time thousands of office workers and tech workers crowded...

Re: Red Robin Launches $10 Gourmet Meal Deal
Do they lose money on this $10 meal? It might bring in the customers and then the employees will have to upsell more food.

Re: Helium Prices Blowing Up
Helium is so expensive that you cannot sell it for $1.25 at Dollar Tree. They probably will not make a profit on it. The local Safeway stores in the San Francisco Bay Area seem to have no balloons on display. Maybe Party City might still sell helium.

Re: CVS to end liquor sales in "Health Hub" stores
The former Longs Drugs Flagship in Walnut Creek, California is a 24 hour CVS HealthHub along with the other 24 hour CVS in Walnut Creek. Those stores have huge liquor sections that have gates to close off the liquor aisles to prevent theft. There is another CVS HealthHub in San Ramon, California but...

Re: Save Mart closing pharmacy
The supermarket $4 prescriptions brought in a lot of shoppers. Now that those are gone, the pharmacy no longer brings in as many customers. You lose a little on the $4 prescriptions, but you get a shopping cart full of sales. Supermarkets should bring back those $4 prescriptions. It will increase sa...
