Re: Red Robin adds Donato's pizza to the menu

I have yet to try the Donato's Pizza, there's just too much else on the menu I'd rather eat. In general I think the fries are OK, but there seems to be a lot more smaller pieces mixed in lately.

Re: Regal Cinemas parent Cineworld to file for bankruptcy

No word of any closures yet near where I live, but looking on Google shows reports of three closures in Orange County CA (Anaheim Hills, Calabasas and Irvine), as well as closures in Fresno, Greenville NC and Jacksonville FL. If I had to guess the most likely theaters to close around here would prob...

Re: Starbucks To Open 2,000 Stores By 2025

Here in Starbucks' "home turf" it seems like Dutch Bros. has been expanding significantly over the past few years, along with some of the other local/regional chain "kiosk" competitors. Around here some of the notable ones are Bigfoot Java. Diedrich Espresso and Gourmet Latte, ea...

Ironically, Jimmy Johns has sold day-old bread in their stores for some time now, so would probably be able to claim a back door exemption.

Re: IHOP

While down in Utah last week I ended up at the IHOP on State Street in Sandy with several of my wife's siblings who had heard about this deal, but when they tried to order it the server was unaware of it and told them that it wasn't being offered there. As an alternative the server offered to let th...

Re: Walmart Downsizing Stores?

I know the Tulalip store in Marysville has been remodeling to add one of these "Market Fulfillment Centers" at some point in the near future, but progress seems slow in this particular store. Given the fact that we are planning to move out of the area soon I suspect I won't see the complet...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores

One of the three listed Seattle locations on Delridge Way is the Bartell Drugs corporate office, although it still appears to be in use for the time being. Not sure if they plan to relocate it to elsewhere in Seattle or relocate the functions back to the main corporate offices. The Rainier Avenue lo...

Re: Fred Meyer - No Hot Deli?

I haven't tried the Safeway fried chicken recently (if I ever get lunch at Safeway I tend to get the China Express stuff instead) but I recall that they adopted the old Albertson's recipe (which I thought was pretty good) after the merger. The old Safeway stuff was pretty mediocre. I also had the W...
