Re: Bayfair Mall To Be Carved Up

The REITs seem to be snapping up any large properties they can get in the Bay Area, not just malls. Kroger Online Delivery

Fred Meyer would be difficult for Kroger to rebrand just because of the risk of lost brand loyalty, but QFC would probably be a lot easier. Ever since they remodeled most of the QFC stores out of the Fresh Fare decor package they've basically moved them more and more toward generic Kroger decor and ...

Re: Mall shoppers in Calgary summoned to jury duty

Legally, the jurors were compelled to participate, and could be taken to the Courthouse in handcuffs if they refused to participate voluntarily. On the court side, not having enough jurors to form a jury would have forced the court to drop all charges against any criminal defendants and result in mi...

Re: Lack Of Air Conditioning At Stores

There is probably also pressure from PG&E for businesses to reduce air conditioning, as they have previously warned of potential rolling blackouts if power grid capacity is exceeded.

Re: Franchisee fast food pricing in California

As a point of comparison, prices of a few common fast food items in Snohomish County (prices found through the respective apps or websites, in-store prices may vary). In general fast food prices tend to run high here due to high cost of living, but probably not as bad as in California. McDonald's (L...

Re: Is Fast Food Indoor Dining Dying?

From my limited observations indoor dining in general seems to be recovering, although it seems to have lagged a few months behind the removal of the remaining COVID restrictions. At a McDonald's in Everett today(the 41st Street location) while waiting for a curbside order it seemed like there were ...

Re: Albertsons relaunches Sparkling Water Brand

I never could develop a taste for sparkling water, for me I can't taste anything but strong carbonation. That said, I did like the uncarbonated Hint water for a while (particularly the pineapple flavor) but would not go out of my way for it over plain water.
