Re: Albertsons opens new store in El Paso

The two Safeways in Goodyear (AZ) were remodeled last year, brighter colors, wood floors, and grocery aisles named after neighborhood streets.

Lack of ham this Easter

I’ve noticed this year there seems to be fewer hams and very few deals on ham this Easter. Here in Phoenix none of the chains are selling Cure-81 hams, just their private brands and smaller brands like Springdale. Even Fry’s isn’t stocking the larger Private Selection hams. Is there a ham shortage w...

Re: Pavilions?

Don't they just package the leftover hot chicken and sell it in the cold case along the premade sandwiches?

Re: Circle K divests 350 stores - appears to exit Oklahoma entirely

Circle K's other sites being divested aside from the concentration in OK going to Casey's are just scattered throughout the network, all over the place, and quite random. No other market exits taking place. More than likely when you have 2 Circle Ks at a major intersection-across the street from eac...

Re: Circle K divests 350 stores - appears to exit Oklahoma entirely

Oklahoma is a rather odd retail market, the only statewide grocery retailer is Walmart, 7-11 only operates in OKC (and was separate from the main 7-11 until recently) QuikTrip only has stores in hometown Tulsa but not in OKC. And Casey’s will be buying the OK Circle K stores.

Re: Teamsters Union attempting to "pause" 7-11/Speedway Merger

I know 7-11 owns a fuel distribution company (SEI Fuels) that not only supplies 7-11 sites but also other fuel sellers

Re: McDonalds and re-opening inside

The QSRs are going to a new store design that emphasizes eating out, not eating in....drive thru, take out, delivery services like Doordash (with dedicated lanes), with limited indoor seating. Fewer employees, easier to keep sanitized, easier to heat and cool. That trend was beginning pre-virus, alo...

Re: Open Discussion: Grocery Formats in Urban WA / OR

Only the Eastern NM Albertsons stores (Albertsons Market ) are run by United... the rest of the state is part of the division run out of Phoenix (Which includes a handful of Safeways)

Re: Open Discussion: Grocery Formats in Urban WA / OR

I still don’t know why the Smith’s banner is still in NM, which is isolated from their base UT/NV stores, it should have been combined with King Soopers or Fry’s
