In the 90s, Payless in the San Francisco Bay Area had huge stores. They carried a huge selection of items. The Payless in Pleasant Hill, California was originally an Albertsons Payless Combo store. I think they would do well if they affiliated with the SEIU.
Worst union created ever...a union only concerned with how much $ they can get from the Gov't and the taxpayer. Even FDR was against govt employee unions.

It’s cheaper to let a private bottler make soda for them under contract (Like Kalil Bottling in Arizona) Also Kroger is probably supplying private label ice cream to SoCal from its Arizona plant.

Caine’s secret is their spicy sauce. Popeyes chicken seems to be over cooked half the time you get it, the same with KFC-and over cooked chicken is inedible.

The main competitor to Slurpee was/is Icee, which was introduced a decade before Slurpee. In fact many 7-11s sold Icee before the introduction of Slurpees.

Glass is heavier than plastic-meaning a truck full of glass bottles uses more fuel than one with plastic/aluminum containers. Plus the energy and chemicals required to wash/reuse glass containers.
