Re: McDonald’s Grimace Meal
Grimace is the purple McDonaldland character from back in the day along with Hamburglar, Birdie the Early Bird, Officer Big Mac, etc. I haven’t seen much on these characters lately, but I noticed Hamburglar in some recent commercials. I haven’t heard of “but you a Frosty” but it looks like this is a...

McDonald’s Grimace Meal
McDonald’s is now offering a meal to celebrate Grimace’s 52nd birthday. The meals include a Big Mac or 10 Piece McNugget, Large fry and a special purple berry flavored milkshake in place of a fountain drink. From what I saw the meal costs about $2 more than a regular Big Mac meal with large drink wo...

Re: Restaurants seeing less delivery, more pick-up orders
I wonder how long some of these orders sit before they’re picked up. I’ve been to places in the past where there are numerous orders on the shelves. The shelves are not a heated surface or have heat lamps so the orders could be cold by the time you receive them. I’ve noticed grocery stores often hav...

Re: Wendy's To Deploy Underground Robots
I agree. I’m highly skeptical that this will go beyond a few pilot locations, at most. I just don’t see Wendy’s spending money to implement this. Yep PR, just like that double decker “Taco Bell of the future” a few years ago. But I could be biased, my closest Wendy’s Finally remodeled from the early...

Re: Taco Bell operations
The problem is that many customers hate kiosk ordering. Many senior citizens are especially frustrated and confused. They may leave and never come back. I have seen the prices go up and the menu shrink at Taco Bell. You used to have many meal deals or Doritos combos. Those days are long over. I hav...

Re: McDonald's preparing for big staffing cuts
Why does McDonald’s kiosk require a table number to be input when ordering to dine in. As far as I know McDonald’s does NOT provide table service, the order has to be picked up at the counter. Some years ago I took the table number to my table not realizing this. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I ...

Taco Bell operations
Still mostly been disappointed with Taco Bell lately. The food seems fine but the service and cleanliness leaves some to be desired. I usually go in on Friday evening. Last time I’d went there were printed signs up stating that dining room orders were kiosk only. Tonight didn’t see the signs but did...

Fast food locations that flat grill vs fire grill
Some fast food chains seem to cook their hamburgers and some chicken products on char grills, others use flat griddles. Hardee’s used to offer char-co broiled burgers since their inception. At some point in the 1980s to around 1990 they began using flat griddles instead, as far as I know. About a de...

Re: Krispy Kreme Discontinues Grocery Store Line
I remember Publix sold Kristen Keene back about 20 years ago. Haven’t noticed them for sale in a long time, but I wonder where they were coming from as there are no KK anywhere close.

Lowes exterior sales area dark
I’ve noticed lately that the outdoor department at Lowes is very dimly lit during the day. Not the open top part or the greenhouse, but the part that is covered just outside, where things like flower pots, garden tools and fencing are stocked. Several aisles and there were no lights on in this area....
