Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

Golden Corral has reopened for indoor dining in California. It is now cafeteria style where you pay first then get a prepackaged utensil package. You walk down a cafeteria food line and tell each person what you want and how much. There is no self serve and servers walk up and ask what drinks you wa...

Re: Discussion: Convenience stores / gasoline retailers

There is a Sam's Club in Concord, California that does not have gas. Compared to Costco, the Sam's Club has very little business. I did not renew my membership at Sam's Club because Costco is a better value with cheap gas. The only reason I even signed up for Sam's Club was their 45 gift card for op...

Re: Discussion: Convenience stores / gasoline retailers

There is a relatively new looking Sam's Club gas in Vacaville, California. It has 6 gas pumps and no convenience store. That one is run by Sam's Club. Somehow Sam's gas is not as popular as Costco gas.

Re: Thrifty Rite Aid Branded Stores

I have seen Thrifty ice cream at several Mexican and Asian supermarkets in Northern California. There is a 76 Gas station with a Thrifty Ice Cream counter in Concord, California. I was very surprised. It was a relatively new Circle K and had quite a selection of merchandise. I always wondered why so...
