Re: Dunkin'/Baskin-Robbins Acquired By Inspire Brands

Dunkin's has failed in Northern California. They opened up several stores a few years ago and they have been failures. They began with huge crowds and then once people realized how terrible their donuts were, people never returned. Most of these Dunkin's locations in Northern California close early ...

Re: Coronavirus Fears and Empty Supermarkets

Northern California recently had some PG&E power outages forced upon thousands of customers. The threat of high winds and fire danger caused many people to lose power and stores have been wiped out of some products. No major fires have started and most people had their power turned back on. The line...

Kroger To Offer Coronavirus Antibody Tests

Kroger will start offering coronavirus antibody tests with results in 15 minutes at their pharmacies by the end of November. This will cost only $25. This is a bargain compared to Quest Diagnostics' $128.30 fee. The antibody test shows that you had the infection in the past. It does not diagnosis cu...

Re: Burger King's Restaurant Of Tomorrow

I have seen a new Taco Bell with video screen menus at the drive thru. It looked ok. There were some videos playing from time to time, but most of the time it was the normal menu. I think it will work just fine. The contactless payment thing at a drive thru is not new. Jack In The Box used to have c...

Re: Stores Returning to Regular Hours

Walmart is planning to change hours again. They will open until 11 PM starting around the end of November. This might relieve the overcrowding at their stores during the day.

Re: Lifting of Coronavirus restrictions on restaurants

Indoor dining is back in Northern California. When there are choices between outdoor and indoor dining when it gets cold, people will choose indoor dining. There will be increases in COVID-19 cases anytime you have people indoors and unmasked. It is unfortunate. California was doing quite well and t...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

A man steals from Walgreens as TV crew reports on a story on shoplifting: https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Walgreens-Inside-Edition-closing-shoplifting-15670720.php He jumps over the counter and steals an air bed. The shoplifter then escapes on an electric scooter. This is outrageous. However,...

Re: Walgreens Closures Continue in San Francisco

This Berkeley location was very busy with customers and long lines. It is Berkeley, so it has to be a homeless shoplifting magnet.

San Francisco, Berkeley, and Oakland are notorious for policies that attract homeless encampments and shoplifters.

Re: Lifting of Coronavirus restrictions on restaurants

San Francisco has such low rates of coronavirus that the city is about to move to indoor dining at 50 percent capacity. This is better than anywhere else in the state. The rate of transmission in San Francisco is so low. What could be causing this? I would suspect that it is due to the enormous amou...
