Re: Bed Bath & Beyond: Dying?

Even when Circuit City was holding closing sales, the prices were terrible. It was more expensive than a full priced Best Buy. People still bought stuff because they thought they were getting a good deal. Maybe people at Bed, Bath, and Beyond are a little more price conscious. Whenever, people see a...

Re: Gas Price-Zone Price

Chevron is still the highest priced gas in the San Francisco Bay Area. Just a short distance from the Chevron corporate office in San Ramon, California are many Chevron gas stations at $6.89. These are corporate owned stations and still do decent business. I assume these are all used by Chevron empl...

Re: 99 Cents Only

Have there been any improvements in product selection at the 99 Stores? Are there higher quality products at a higher price point? Does every item cost $1.99, $2.99, etc? What is the reason why customers should shop at these rebranded stores? It really does not sound very appealing. Has Dollar Tree ...

Re: Free Fast Food

I totally agree. Jack In the Box used to give free items like crazy. Now it has all disappeared. I go to Jack In The Box much less now. I used to go just to get the free stuff all the time. I spend much less there since the the free items ended. Burger King has some free items every week, but the qu...

Re: McDonalds- no drink refills

There is a large amount of theft at McDonald's in California. You see homeless people taking cups from the trash and filling up the cups with soda. It is difficult to put the drinks behind the counter at Walmart McDonald's. Those restaurants have very little space. The McDonald's with Coca Cola Free...

Re: Gas Price-Zone Price

In one week some gas stations in Northern California have jumped up $1. Costco is at around $5.89. It was around $4.79 about 2 weeks ago. There are probably around 7 local gas stations lower than Costco including a Valero at $4.99. I am still surprised by the wide range. I did notice shorter lines a...

Re: Halloween Stores

I visited a Spirit Halloween in Dublin, California recently. This former Grocery Outlet has been abandoned for years and no one wants to lease it except for Spirit. Spirit probably got a very good deal. The store had a very good selection of items. The Halloween departments at other stores are terri...

Burlington Operations

I visited a local Burlington the other day for the first time in years. It was a large store, but about one third of the store was empty. There was a huge empty area. The racks of clothing were also very lightly stocked. The selection was terrible compared to 3 years ago. The shoe section was very s...

Olive Garden Operations

Olive Garden is bringing back their Unlimited Pasta Bowl October 3, after a 2 year break. They seem to be desperate to try to get customers these days. The price is $13.99. Isn't this a little high?

California Pizza Kitchen's First Burger

CPK is going to introduce its first burger. It is a Wagyu beef burger. They are also offering a free pizza on a future visit if you order a non pizza item such as the burger. Didn't Arby's try a fried Wagyu burger earlier this year? https://www.chewboom.com/2022/09/29/california-pizza-kitchen-introd...
