Re: Sears/Kmart: Will 2020 be the end?

Remember that last month Sears sold its delivery arm, Innovel, to Costco for $1 Billion. Not sure if that will help much but I suppose it could keep them afloat for a while. Not sure there's much point in that though.

Re: Department Stores and Coronavirus

I imagine due to the virus there will be a lot of out of season clothes still in department store locations and distribution warehouses that will need to be unloaded after this whole thing is finally over. How many missed seasons of sales remains to be seen (hopefully spring/summer only!) But I imag...

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

I went through drive thru at Wendy's this evening. (This is my new Friday evening treat post-virus). There was only one person in front of me and one behind. Didn't see many people in line at McDonald's or Burger King either, or DQ. Captain D's has a backup of cars almost into the street every time ...

Re: Coronavirus and masks in stores

Face shields would be better and offer eye protection.

Re: Grocery Store Capacity Limits

I hope something happens with this before too long. I don't see how people can take another year to 18 months of these stay at home orders with nothing to do other than going shopping which at this point is so minimized and dangerous it is not even something to look forward to. It's not good for th...

Re: Grocery Store Capacity Limits

I think a lot of people have finally stopped going out shopping as much because of the constant warnings from nurses and health advisors on TV. It took a while for the behavior to change, but with what's going on in NY and other places I think people are deciding it is not worth it to go shopping ve...

Re: Walmart observations

Has Walmart closed off some departments in their stores? It's been a few weeks since I've been. But I had heard the clothing sections are roped off. Is there some restrictions requiring these areas to be closed? It really seems if people are already circulating in the store, they may as well have th...

Re: Coronavirus Fears and Empty Supermarkets

I went to Publix again this week. The store seemed better stocked than before, a lot more milk and dairy product, and the store brand soda, while still having some missing varieties, had the ones I had been looking for that were out prior. There were green plastic towers placed around the store stat...

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

I am surprised the health inspections do not require hand washing with paper towels. Maybe these restaurants that have hand dryers in the restrooms, have paper towels at the employee hand washing stations. I will have to look next time I go into a fast food place and see; that will be whenever this...

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

A lot of restaurants here too are air dryer only as well and I don't like it either. Especially hearing talk about the blowing germs around awhile ago, I feel like my hands are getting recontaminated by them. Anything on the floor, adjacent urinals, toilets or even just floating in the air is potent...
