Re: Walmart to close Health Care Clinics

Amazon bought an entire chain of doctor's offices called One Medical. Wall Street wanted Walmart to copy Amazon since Amazon seems to be all into the idea of opening doctor's offices. Amazon is losing money on those clinics and is too afraid to admit it. The company is still pushing the subscriptio...

Re: Walmart introduces new private label brand

"The name Sam Walton has always been an integral part of Walmart. I know of a Walmart Neighborhood Market in the San Francisco Bay Area. It used to have what I would call a Sam Walton altar. It had his framed photo and a wooden table with candles, various offerings, and fancy objects. It was in...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

Perhaps but SoCal requires a little "something" more for success. I predict their way of "talent recruiting" will fail in SoCal. Do they want "talent" or do they want "robots?" F&E wanted "robots" - the problem was F&E was not a proven formu...

Re: Kroger "Boost Member Price"

I recently read an indepth article about the ubiquitous "pooring" of America via fees of all types and colors (memberships for discounts, tiers for added something, etc., etc.).

It's quite amazing and I suspect that most folks would be alarmed if they honestly tallied up all those numbers.

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: California Impact

100% agree with both of you on that Liberty store. Every time I have visited there it has been busy. The flow of customers is deceiving and does not clearly show how busy it really is. It depends on which side you are in. If it looks slow where you are you go to the other side and it is busy and vi...

Re: Walmart introduces new private label brand

Futile attempt on this new label by Walmart. It's not their thing. Walmart was officially selling F&E products in their stores for quite a while when F&E was still in business. For the most part these were high quality products. They did a horrible job with it................really bad. Was...

Re: Walmart introduces new private label brand

I loved the Sam's Choice products and yes, now they seem to only be on a few stray bread items (why?), frozen pizza, and chocolate. Much like the Reserve version of the Signature items at Albertsons Co's. (interesting... same private label manufacturer? LOL) This new brand would appeal to someone l...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing

This rookie DM smells a bit like F&E....................what could go wrong? No matter the cookie cutter format (very F&E) you need seasoned folks (well versed in the local market) to establish a NEW Brand. F&E did not even want grocery retail experience at first. That changed of course ...
