https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/11/mcdonalds-franchisees-worry-new-grading-system-will-alienate-workers.html Interesting article - McDonald's is trying to improve execution and consistency through extra corporate visits and a rigid grading system. Re: Long John Silver's
Long John Silver's is offering Swashbockler beer at two pubs in Louisville. I have not heard much from this company in a long time. Most of the Long John Silver's KFC combo restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area have either closed or switched to KFC only. Long John SIlver's continues to close lo...

Re: Red Lobster CEO Resigns After 8 Months
This could indicate trouble at Red Lobster. The chain seems to be doing decent business. There are still many locations still open. The previous CEO was there for a long time. Maybe it just didn't work out. Red Lobster despite being the subject of many jokes seems like it has survived much better t...

Re: Albertsons announces strategic review of company
I doubt unions have any effect on Publix. Publix is focused on serving customers and growing. Competing supermarkets that are unionized have to deal with unionized employees. From what I've heard, Publix isn't a great employer, despite being "employee-owned". Its employees seem to be just...

Re: Albertsons announces strategic review of company
I just don't think Publix will move into an area where Unions are in good shape. I doubt unions have any effect on Publix. Publix is focused on serving customers and growing. Competing supermarkets that are unionized have to deal with unionized employees. I don't think it's in Publix's DNA to have ...

Re: Short staffed restaurants
I placed a mobile order at Burger King and it was closed when I got there. They must have all left early before 9 PM. This restaurant used to be 24 hours for years. Now it says it closes at 11 PM. I do not even know how to get a refund. Staff members bailing out before closing is a bad idea. I woul...
