Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
For some reason the GNC.com website is now selling a bunch of Rite Aid brand vitamins. This may not seem unusual since GNC has had a contract to supply Rite Aid brand vitamins for decades now. But this is very recent the GNC.com sells Rite Aid vitamins. Also most/all of these are "out of stock...

Re: 99 CENT ONLY closing
Which seems kind of odd, since they have been known to pay their regular employees more than many stores (likely since they are doing more work, being out in the store if not needed at cashier stations, for example). Is that still the case? Do they still pay higher than other stores... based on wha...

Re: CA Senate Bill 478- "Junk fees" bill
What concerns me is how "credit card surcharges" will be impacted by this or IF they will be impacted. I am seeing credit card surcharges at far too many restaurants and even seeing them at some smaller retailers as of late. They are "legal" - and you don't have to pay with a cr...

Re: 🛒 Kroger-Albertsons Merger: National Impact
Not sure if they still do or not, but Price Chopper (Market 32) based here in NY did at one point have such a fee for cash back with a debit card. As far as I remember, they were the only ones that ever did that in this area. That is a chain who started charging bag fees before they were legally ma...

Dollar Tree and Family Dollar also charge some kind of fee for cash back. I'm not sure how it works at Dollar General or if they even offer cash back. I agree however the .75 cash back fee for a simple $20 etc. of cash back at these Kroger banners is unacceptable. I have been surprised no other gro...

Re: Here come the price increases!
There was a posting on the counter for some overnight position that was paying $20.25 an hour, posting was on a 3rd party website not the actual KK website (typical of franchises lately, seeing weird addresses especially Taco Bell like "Apply at ABCTacoBellsCA.com"). So that makes me assu...

Re: Subway Sale to Roark
I think any of these would be an upgrade from the bottom of the barrel Subway. I had only mentioned Jersey Mike's because they're killing Subway as they're perceived to be serving fresher food. Subway has never recovered from the perception of the chemicals in the bread. Wherever Jersey Mike's open...

Re: Wawa CEO: There is no "Gentlemen's agreement" with Sheetz
https://news.yahoo.com/wawa-president-answers-urban-legend-004642614.html During a recent groundbreaking for a Wawa store in Dauphin County PA (an area that would be considered Sheetz territory), the CEO of Wawa was asked about the so-called "Gentlemen's agreement" that allegedly keeps th...

To be clear, they're looking for District Managers In Training who are finishing up their degrees. They have a training program that is almost a year long. The pay and benefits in my opinion are poor based on what is shown. That is a stressful job and I would expect more than two weeks of vacation ...

Re: Walmart to close Health Care Clinics
With all of that said, the need to get health care into rural and under served areas is important. In the more rural areas, this is easier said than done. When you're looking at Supercenters now, you look at three models: The primary model runs 175,000 to 220,000 s.f. These stores have the mall are...
