Re: JC Penney Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

I don't buy the Amazon rumor. I don't believe they have any interest in it. The mall locations would be lousy for fulfillment purposes and Amazon has been building so many warehouses, I don't think they need to use mall space for warehousing. As for opening them up as retail stores, WHY??? Their mo...

Re: JC Penney Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

Stores here can open at 25% capacity for about two weeks now. JCPenney has still not reopened, although Belk and Bealls have, with reduced hours. I'm not sure I buy into the whole Covid will be the death of brick and mortar retail. I think the whole idea that people are will be afraid to go out is o...

Re: JC Penney Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

I think the closest Macy's to me is in Orlando, haven't been up there in a few years. There is a Dillard's about 45 minutes away, I made a quick daytrip up that way back in January while I was on vacation, mostly just wanted to see what a Kohls is like but I stopped in there too. Didn't buy anything...

Re: JC Penney Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

Honestly the mid-range department stores just don't work with my mindset. I won't pay full price or anywhere near MSRP for anything. I either wait for it to go on sale, clearance or get it at Ross or Marshalls (and even then sometimes only on clearance!) If I find a brand that I know fits me well an...

No different than people that stick their head under the sneeze guard at the salad bar to look at something. Um that's why it's clear. LOL

Re: Wendy's Takes Beef Off The Menu

If the restaurant can procure fresh clean masks, yes. If the restaurant is giving people one mask a week and telling them to keep the mask in a paper bag in their locker like various retail stores are doing to their employees due to not being able to procure masks, I am not sure I agree. Also peopl...

Re: Wendy's Takes Beef Off The Menu

At Wendy's this week, Four for $4 still had cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger on the menu. The plastic shield added to the window from last week was gone, and while all employees I saw last week had masks on, this week there were none at all??

Re: Coronavirus and Empty Restaurants

Disposable prewrapped cutlery would probably be best. I don't think the coronavirus would survive in a dishwasher with high temps and chlorine rinses. But what concerns me is how many are touching that silverware after it first gets pulled out of the dishwasher and put back in the containers, and th...

Re: Macy’s 2020

I think to a great extent there has been much "over-pessimism" toward every aspect of the corona-virus. I believe much of it has been in order to err on the side of caution. You cannot be too careful of the unknown, but you can not be careful enough. Look at the original models - millions ...

Re: AMC Theaters expected to file for bankruptcy

I heard from a different news source which may or may not be accurate that certain states in the east and west coast somehow have a financial incentive to over-report COVID-19 deaths. I don't quite understand how that would work. Maybe if the coasts over-report and the middle states under-report it...
