Re: Dollar Tree - Family Dollar
I wonder if any Dollar Tree closures will be coming. There are armed guards at Dollar Tree stores in the Oakland, California area. Dollar Tree is spending money on guards and they have a security car parked in front of the doors.
Perhaps they are afraid of a door ramming.

My mistake. It was not a permanent closure, but apparently the dining rooms were closed super early when I passed by. Perhaps they were short on staff and closed the doors early for the night.

Re: Dollar Tree - Family Dollar
Is Dollar General doing financially better than Dollar Tree? If Family Dollar can't seem to make those stores work I don't know how those stores could be profitable under Dollar General.

Re: Fast Food chains focusing on apps while menu prices skyrocket
The lines at fast food drive thru lanes are much shorter these days. In the San Francisco Bay Area, I only get Wendy's, Jack In The Box, and Burger King coupons in the mail. The offers are not very good. The offers on the apps are not very good either. Wendy's seems to have the most free food offers...

Re: Arby's $1 Sliders
The San Francisco Bay Area Arby's were all unremodeled. I went to an Arby's in San Leandro, California around 2015. It was vintage 70s style inside and falling apart. I don't know how, but the ancient cash register was accepting credit cards. I went to a vintage 80s style Arby's in Dublin, Californi...

Re: Oakland Taco Bell units: Drive Through Only, No Cash Accepted
The cities next to Oakland have crime, but nothing like Oakland. It is clearly the people that run Oakland that are causing all of this. Even Berkeley is very different. The police actually respond to crime and keep things under control.

Re: Sheetz eliminating soft serve machines in stores
Chevron has automated self serve milk shake machines. You order on the computer screen and the machine makes it for you. These kiosks use some kind of prepackaged ice cream cup that is then blended by the machine with the flavors that you choose. It eliminates employee labor and doesn't require soft...
