Re: Photos: New Seasons Market Milwaukie
This location is a gamble for New Seasons Market. The demographics in the area aren't as ideal as some of their other locations. If it works out, this opens up a lot of new locations for them down the road in areas they hadn't considered previously. I wish them luck!

Re: Photos: New Seasons Market Milwaukie
Latest decor and appearance of New Seasons Markets, open in Milwaukie, Oregon. 10830 SE Oak St This is the former Albertsons that was briefly a Haggen. Report puts it at 35,000 square feet. It always felt comfortably large to me in the former ownership. New Seasons opens its newest in Milwaukie I c...

Re: Bi-Mart Membership Sharing
I am very familiar with the chain and past management. The membership is nothing more than a gimmick. The idea is that if you are a member, they can get you in the mailing list. And you feel like you need to shop there and think you are getting a great deal due to the membership. The one time fee is...

Re: Macys Stores Closing by 2026
I went to the Streets of Tanasbourne store yesterday. Some observations...it's a two-level store in a lifestyle center that is already set up for a Macy's smaller format store. About half of the top floor is furniture. About a 1/3 of the first floor is the disorganized mess better known as Backstage...

Re: What's Office Depot's future
At this point they should just let Staples and Office Depot merge. During the original merger proposal, weren't they going to use the name, Staples, the office depot? Go for it! The only thing they seem to be competing against each other is who can close more stores. In my area, there are only two S...

Re: Macys Stores Closing by 2026
If they close all the stores on this list, they will continue to lose sales. With no stores in a market, they've admitted online sales shrink as well so they will lost that revenue. Looking at the three Oregon stores on the list that I am most familiar with. Closing the Bend store in a fast-growing ...

Re: Target Pricing - San Francisco vs. other areas
Many Walmart stores on the west coast are poorly run. Dirty, poorly stocked, employees who don't care. If Walmart steps up their game, they could increase market share but some of the worst Walmart stores I've seen are out west.

Re: Target Rolls 10 item "Express Self Checkout" Nationwide
Was the at the Wilsonville, OR Target. Two staffed checkstands open, at least 15 people in line for self-checkout. Where is this increased staffing they promised? Come on Target, just add more than 4 self-checkout stands. 8-12 self checkout stands should be the minimum plus staffed registers.

Re: Subway Switches To Pepsi For 10 Years From Coke
I've seen some Subway units who have the soda fountain machine with a sign posted that says either no refills or want an extra fee for refills. I think I've seen some who serve liquor too. Cannot remember where. Several years back, I visited a Subway in the Portland area (I don't remember where) wh...
